VIDEO: Check Out Julian Edelman’s “Cheers” Spoof As New Season Begins
Christopher Hanewinckel - USA TODAY Sports
As the Patriots finish up their final preparations for the Miami Dolphins, wide receiver Julian Edelman released another creative video over social media set to a familiar theme song.
Entitled “Foxboro: Where Everybody Knows Your Name”, Edelman pays homage to “Cheers”, the famous NBC TV sitcom that took place in Boston from 1982-1993.
Edelman’s video directly parodies the show opening and features a number of Patriots.
Owner Robert Kraft, head coach Bill Belichick made it into the video alongside Cam Newton, Matthew Slater, Gunner Olszewski, David Andrews, Stephon Gilmore, Chase Winovich, The McCourty Twins, N’Keal Harry, and James White.
Backup quarterbacks Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer were also spotted in the bar crowd.
Take a look at the full spoof for yourself below.
