I wonder if playing for the Bruins, in front of all of his family & friends, and wanting to make a good impression after being traded here for Reilly Smith, actually contributed to his downward spiral; because while nobody really expected him to put up even 37-year-old Jarome Iginla numbers, he still fell way, Way, WAY short of expectations... From 19 goals with the doesn't-deserve-to-exist Florida franchise to only 2 just two years later... I wonder if the pressure he surely must've felt began to get to him and he then started to self-medicate in response...
