Of course, it's really difficult to be a contrarian if your target audience doesn't have any grip on reality itself.

But it would be amazing if the JETE would have the NFL's most unlikeable Quarterback, most unlikeable Coach and most unlikeable owner (now Snyder has slid off into the night).

Funny, that's what I want too! A decrepit QB in physical and mental decline, along with a blowhard toe-sucking coach who can't coach offense and whose defensive scheme has fallen out of favor years ago. All the younger players will tune them out so quick. One's old enough to be their father, another's old enough to be their grandfather, both are has-beens. Bring it on!

My projection made in September 2023, so things just took a few more months longer than projected:

This thread has been warning people for years about da Jete, and this is a textbook case of the dire risks of being a Jete Fan.​

The Jete House is on fire, and Bim Saleh Bim and his boss Douglas are pouring gasoline on that fire by continuing to play Punky​

The only person they can look to for wisdom is an aging, on-again/off-again drunkard and pill popper, and even he is saying the house is on fire and why are you using gasoline to put it out.​

We all know how this goes. Bim gets fired this off season, young talent is aging out and wants to get paid, the next man up won't be able to win right away so both the coach and GM will get fired, the new GM will pick a new coach, rinse, repeat.​

Saying these Jets teams have talent are in insult to the early Rex Ryan days and the 1998 Parcells team. These guys are overrated.

With the Douglas firing, my only mild concern is that the Jets will go through the “correct” hiring process. That is, hire a GM, who will then hire a HC. There is a decent chance Woody will hire a head coach on impulse while they are still searching for a GM. Or they could go through the traditional hiring process and still screw it up.

I'm not concerned that Woody is going to do something correctly.
