It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Well If Hall is even 80% or better they won't need Rodgers to carry them. They already have a Very Good Defense and as Pats fans we know they are QB away. I will say what's not to like...I think they have good HC in the making too that said I don't think their excitement is misplaced. The preseason expectations for the Jets are getting out of hand. I am seeing a lot of Super Bowl predictions for them. I just don't see it.
The general sense seems to be that Aaron Rodgers will be a rejuvenated Rodgers like Brady was when he went to Tampa or Manning when he went to Denver. But Rodgers has never had the competitive mental make up that Brady or Manning had. Brady had a huge chip on his shoulder and wanted to show the world it was him and not Belichick that was the difference in New England (right or wrong not getting back into that argument). Manning went into Denver wanting to prove to Indy they made a mistake thinking he was done. I see Rodger just being happy to be in a place that will do anything to make him happy.
Jete fans have something to learn from Steely Dan:He's smiling ... for now ...
He's smiling ... for now ...
When he finds his face in Messy Bacon's butt, ala Sanchez and the Buttfumble. He's not going to be smiling when he starts seeing "Ghosts" against the Pats.
Imma just leave this right here...
This is a lie from the media and shame on Schefter.
He was due $75M more in guarantees over the the life of his previous contract (screenshotting before they update it.)
He is now being given $75M over two years instead and the expectation is he’ll retire in 2024 so they added void years and will be paying him this sum for years to come.
To simplify this: he basically had a 4 yr contract of AAV at 37.5M (but can be cut after 2 yrs so it is really a 2 yr). Now he has a 2 yr contract at 37.5M, but they’re adding void years to pay it in the future. If at the end of 2024 he decides to play somewhere else Jets still pay the full amount as dead money.
This is just an expected, reasonable restructure to the old deal with a bunch of reporters not understanding the reality that he's still getting paid the same amount, only difference is deferred payments are part of contract structure rather than dead money cut option from Packers.
What you took a screenshot of was already updated...
Wrong. This is the new contract on Spotrac. A bunch of void years, still making the same amount as before.
