Jets Suck -- 2019 Edition (Official): Entering A New Half-Century of Moronic Mediocrity!

Stupid desperate Jete. From the article: "The Jets could not afford to enter this season with their current crop of cornerbacks. The group simply is not good enough. Frankly, it still isn’t, even after this trade. The CB spot is incredibly weak and needs plenty of work ... This is the price the Jets pay for having terrible depth; they’ve been forced to deal away future assets to fix the problems in the here and now."

Ha, I was just kidding based on his name... I just thought we should do the whole show about Sugar Bear Hamilton... but I emphasize, I was kidding...

Wish I had known this 17 creative hours earlier.

:)

Well they needed a $17M middle linebacker and $14M running back. What??

Maybe they can pry Revis out of retirement for $9 million. He probably could step right in and be better than anything they've got now.

Well then dish... or if you did already, link me... (And definitely it's the duel, 1 way or another... could also see the 76 season (76, right?) slowly dying in "stay alive, reprise")

@Ice_Ice_Brady , you think we could write a Hamilton parody about the trials and tribulations of Ray Hamilton culminating in his assassination by Ben Dreith?

A brilliant idea.

Would be informative, educational and entertaining, with lots of anachronistic references to anti Patriots origins and history.

I'm in. Just need the funding now.

I would ask Bob Kraft, but I get the feeling his group would demand power to censure the inevitable unflattering references to him...

Oh, I dunno. You saw Revis with the Chiefs.

Then again, I think it's a solid move for the Jete.

Well they do have 2 years before they give Darnold a $40 million a year extension.

The parallels are endless between 1976 Pats and 1776 Pats.

Unheralded, underdog, targets of derision, denigration, evil opposition.

Original Pats had Samuel, John and Abigail Adams.

How would you describe the Pats God awful helmet logo? (Don't try to deny it.)
The disturbing, nauseating image of a sick, sad, diseased rotting corpse, with a Cowboys star where what's left of its brains is oozing out, and insulting tatters of what apparently used to be an American flag before a murdering evil fascist dictator took a pair of scissors to it.

In other words, what Pats fans looked like after this thing was shoved down our throats by evil Patriots haters.

RJ King at CBS Sports has made some interesting 2019 NFL prop bets.
He's hot on the Ravens +170 to make the playoffs because of expected improvement of LJ and their superior coaching.
He also went for Sam Darnold winning the MVP at 80-1 odds.

Not to mention Chuck Fairbanks singing "Sit down, John" to Hannah.

MEL KIPER
How is a draft pick (fourteenth
round) not resorting to
retail or detailin' the little foreign
cars in a mall by Providence, Rhode Island, a Sooner,
anything more than draft-day humor?

JOHN HANNAH
The ten-dollar nose tackle/DT
Pick 342 in '73 got free
By workin' against me
In practice against me
By '76, the only thing could stop him was Dreith

BEN DREITH
And every week stat freaks were geekin about the startup
Sam Bam Cunningham, Darryl Stingley, and that guard up
Above these lines; Ray longed for a way to be remembered
The brother was willing to rip, swim or dismember

CHUCK FAIRBANKS
Then '76 came, and the Patriots reigned
Our man saw Lombardis and rings daisy-chained
Put a dimple in Snake's temple, Dreith said he scooped out his brain
And he wrote his first refrain to ref legerdemain

STEVE GROGAN
The word got around, we said WTF, Rain Man,
He said that movie ain't been made yet, Steve, but you're my main man
I said "we'll get 'em next year, don't forget from whence we came man
The world's gonna know your name. What's your name man?"

RAY HAMILTON
Sugar Bear Hamilton
My name is Sugar Bear Hamilton
"Roughing, number 71."
Just you wait
Just you wait
........................................

Tag, you're it. Just make sure Dreith says "And me? I'm the damn fool that flagged him"

High bar. I’ll work on it.

I’d laugh if I didn’t know you are totally serious. Got a copy of The Catcher in the Rye in your backpack?

Honestly, there can't have been anyone in that stadium that day besides Billy Sullivan's son in law who liked let alone wanted that thing.

I am the S-U G-A R B-E
A-R, they are, meant to be
If Ben Dreith says they be
I might get mentally
Faulked
don't even talk about Tatum/Stingley

Gang Green MB actually has a thread that asks if Pats offer to trade Brady and a 1st round pick for Sam Darnold should we do it?
Most posters question the new posters sanity but 5 out of 20 say hell yes.

I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
