Jets Suck -- 2016 Edition (Official): Futility Confirmed

Yeah, congratulations. You now are the proud owners of a player north of 30 who might have to be the lead back with Ivory and possibly Powell leaving. Jets are the masters at that (cough*Revis*cough).

Now all you need is a competent QB to hand him the bal.....ooop. Nvm.

He just turned 30 in Dec. At least couple good years left. Plus I'm sure they'll pick up a young guy in the draft, and still potentially keep Powell so they don't overuse Forte.

Be that as it may.....still need a QB.

Forte will do.
Do what, is the question. Hobbled by an MCL late last season, turns 31 in December. Facing a heavy workload with no quarterback to take the pressure off. Seems like a typical Green Beans offense shaping up there.

Sure. But crazy as it sounds to many here and even on JetNation, I'm cool with seeing what Geno can do with an NFL offense around him. He hasn't had that opportunity yet. Though Fitz isn't gone just yet.

Also sounding like we saved 2 mil per year vs what Ivory signed for. Try to belittle the signing all ya want. Many here wanted him on the Pats and I'll happily take him for a couple years.

What's funny is we Pats fans were fooled because he said he wanted to play for a SB contender. We see now that that was all postering. Jest won't be sniffing any of those any time soon.

Perhaps he considered the Pats and then thought... Brady suspended 4 games, a team on the way down?...

....

Eh I'll go with the Jets who are on the rise.

Maybe?

BTW, Fitz is gone now...

Yup, saw it over on JetNation and "liked" it immediately. Either he accepts reasonable $$$ or see ya Fitz. Like the way Macc is playing things.

Geno? GENO?????????????????????????????????????????

But ... But with Forte in the backfield this sort of thing won't happen, because Gee-No! "will have an NFL offense around him."

Great player on my keeper league FFB team. Word on street in Chicago is he was on last legs.

Would cost a guy in my league a 1st rounder to keep him, so I'm hoping he won't and I'll grab him in the 3rd if still available.

Last legs? Really? All I've heard is that he's still as good as ever. Probably at least another two solid years. NFL Network, for what it's worth, is saying this is an upgrade compared to Ivory/Powell combo. Plus I'm sure we'll split his time with one or two other backs.

Who knows. We're happy over in Jet-Land for now though. Our luck, he'll get hurt week 3.

I like Forte but no way in hell is he a Chris Ivory upgrade at this stage in their careers.
