I dont really get Florio's point in the final paragraph. Seems like the large-bold word I added was missing or else was he writing to the level of his target (Jester) audience?

If so, Maccagnan should be calling the Chargers, who hold the No. 3 pick. Unless that happens, the message is that, indeed, the Jets are ONLY considering trying to get through the draft something they haven’t had since the days of Joe Namath: A true franchise quarterback.

Well, ya can't say we're fair-weather fans. Yet still sell out 80k+ seats every year while splitting the market with the midgets. Not too shabby.

Well, you sound somewhat reasonable for a Jets fan. Since that is appears to be the case, you do realize your main complain should be Woody Johnson, correct?

I mean, the knee-jerk FA splash signings, not understanding how to build a team in the cap era, the PSL abuse of the fans, etc, etc, etc.

He simply refuses to take the 2-3 offseasons needed to load up on draft picks, not overspend in FA, and draft and develop, as he finds a proper franchise QB.

That's why your team can't get anywhere. It's just a major waste of time for you and any mirages in 2009 and 2010 were just that....Mirages.

If I were you, I'd be picketing outside his office whenever possible, demanding change and better leadership.
