I feel like if it came to it, those two teams would flip for the win just to keep the Pats from beating both of them out.

This is a very good point. IF the Jets lose today, we want them to be playing hard next week--at the same time as Baltimore--while they still have a chance. If they have their hopes crushed and then have to be play, they'll play like dogs.

Although they've looked like dogs for a month, so what else is new.

Wow...never thought of that. Sweet jesus, if the Jets lose today I think THIS, on top of everything else this season, would absolutely kill me. mean, it's one thing to lose on the field, lose the tiebreakers, whatever. It's a whole different ballgame when scheduling--especially modified scheduling so the NFL owners can further pad their ample pockets--is what does in a team.
