Jets coordinator: Brady gets a “little more anxious”

Hmmm............

Reality: Brady's completion percentage is the second highest of his career. He's on pace for well over 5000 yards passing, although that will likely come down over time, he's throwing for his 3rd highest TD% ever, despite his (for him) terrible INT%, his Y/C is tied for his highest ever, his sack% is actually lower than it was last season and is the 3rd lowest it's ever been in a 'full' season, his Y/A is the highest of his career and his QB rating is the 3rd highest of his career.

Okay, maybe I did exaggerate a bit when I said washed up. But this year alone, you can make that case!

I thought we were talking about last year anyways. Last year I would never suggest that.

I'm talking about pocket mechanics alone, since he's came back. Total separate issue.

I'm suspicious that Paul_Newperson is in reality Ryan Mallett posting here in disguise

haha, that is a good one. No joke.

And the corpses comment, common, I was clearly just kidding.

In all seriousness, I do like Brady a lot. I'm a huge fan of his. I really enjoy watching him play each and every Sunday.

I will praise him like no other, but I'll be the first one to criticize him if its deserved.

Again, I know it seems like I'm nitpicking him a bit. I hold him to a much higher regard. I realize the guy is going to regress, and age will get the best of him.

I'm more upset with the bonehead decisions he's making as of late, than anything else in his game.

This is a good board, though. Glad to see some good football talk here all things considered. I'm not trying to step on any toes here.

Happy postings, peeps.

You're a liar.

The offensive line excuse is getting old. Aaron Rodgers lost his starting left and right tackle, and he's still putting up monster numbers.

Now, I'm not saying this is true. But the notion for some fans out there is that Tom Brady is afforded a much longer time in the pocket than most QB's. Some even use that as an excuse on why he's so good. Which is ridiculous.

We've seen Peyton Manning and numerous of other QB's still play at a high enough level with a weak line.

If the line is struggling to block, Brady has to adjust. Audible to quicker routes.

I don't buy it at all, because the line is still blocking great. Brady is just holding onto the ball too much. Most of his sacks are coverage sacks.

Tell the management to get better recievers, like Peyton and Rodgers entire career. There are so many teams with better recievers than us who can get open when needed.

this times a billion

A QB can only throw to bums for so long. We have two legitimate receiving options, three when Hernandez is 100%.

I will agree about that, Brady doesn't have the greatest receivers. Outside Welker.

Branch is basically washed up, and can't get open to save his life in man coverage.

I wouldn't mind seeing Slater play a bit more. Can he be any worse at this point? At least he can get by his man.

I guess that's as close as we'll ever get to your admitting you're a Jets fan, right? Or is the November join date and the timing of tomorrow's game - along with the comments that Deus was so kind to to point out - just a coincidence?

Why is it that there are so many Jet fans that feel a need to pretend or at least imply that they are Pats fans when they post here? No fans of any other team do that when they visit. Is it because of the way Jet fan forums are run and they assume the same treatment, or something else?

there's our frontrunner for this year's ESPY award....

They're insecure. They just can't come here and say who they are. So they hide behind lampposts and fire hydrants. And they play make believe like the little wussies they are. Fans of other teams come here and they may piss us off, but at least they are usually up front and don't hide behind bushes like Jest fans do. But it's all part and parcel of fans of a team which hasn't been to the SB since January of 1969 (only 42 going on 43 years). They have a major inferiority complex (well-deserved, I might add) to the team they share a stadium with and an even bigger inferiority complex to the team which wins their division virtually every year (now, who could that be?). Until they win a SB (or 3?), they will be dog chow to Buffalo (which at least went to 3 in the '90s), Miami which won some in the '70s and, of course, NE which has been to 6 SBs and won 3 of them since Joe (who needs a bra) Willie played in the Jests' only one in '69. Sleep well.

Why do people even care what the Jets say? It is old and boring. This thread sucks.

That backfired!

I actually loved this quote by the coordinator, Brady has been feeling pressure that is not there for a long time now. I am glad someone outside called him out.
He was so dialed in in the second half it was unreal. People diving at his legs yet I did not see the ghost look in his face.
At times I was like is that Peyton Manning out there? He has been very vocal this season and I hope they will add the Manning 12th man on the D penalty to their hurry up offense. We need some free 5yds
