All adhesives were banned in the NFL since 1981 and he admits to using an adhesive. Like Jerry Rice said "I feel like there's going to be an asterisk" next to every one of his records and the league might need to invalidate his catches.

Back in the early 1990s the 49ers and GM/President Carmen Policy were habitual offenders in circumventing the salary cap. In 1994 their cap shenanigans helped them be able to afford Deion Sanders.

Rice, Steve Young, Bryant Young, Dana Stubblefield, etc all reworked their deals (money went to charities that the players and not as salary as it would have been taxed anyway) to help the team get under the cap. Complete BS.
