Bedard had Mayo as his #1 dud vs. KC for what its worth. Maybe BB feels he can't help anymore in his current state.

That being said, there is no way the patriots don't cut him now. 3 years in a row ending on IR. He's going to make some team in the NFL really happy next year, but its highly unlikely that team will be the patriots

BB loves the guy and there will be little demand for him elsewhere after an unproductive season as he is not yet returned to health from a serious knee injury. More valuable to the Pats than others, he could be resigned at a more friendly cost. If he recovers next season would be win-win. I look for Bostic to be active Sunday. The silver lining is that Jones, Collins, and HT are still on the roster.

It would have to be vet minimum and no signing bonus. When option not picked up Pats still have a $4.4 cap hit
