Jerod Mayo To IR

Same chance as bringing back Junior Seau.

Actually, maybe it isn't that bad of an idea.

Assuming that Spikes has kept himself in shape and is still hoping to get back in the NFL* there are worse options than bringing in a guy who knows the Pats defense and would be willing to come in for two games at most, while auditioning for a job next year on the biggest stages possible.

I know its a slim to none chance but I don't think hes eligible? He was dealt a 4 game suspension by the league. My understanding is that he needs to be signed by a team- then serve the suspension. Double-check me on that as I thought that was what happened with the Jets LB who punched Geno Smith and was then signed by the Bills.

Time to move on, thanks Mayo.

I wish Mayo could still wear his jersey and play in the SB if we make that far. Even though he is part of the group watching from the sidelines is not the same thing.

Too bad for Mayo even though they tried to manage him he still couldn't stay healthy see you around Mayo and hope you can stay on the field for your next Team. One positive the last time he went on IR we made it to the Bowl lets keep that streak alive.

Was thinking about Montee Ball as a sleeper who could "come out of nowhere" and surprise.

Most of us seem to have had him pretty much out of mind, but he has had time to get in shape and learn the playbook.

Fresh (hopefully motivated) legs.
I'm so eager to see the running game take off that after seeing SJax for a few games, I'm open to the idea of giving Ball the rock to see what he can do. I believe his biggest problem in Denver was putting the ball on the ground too often. That's risky come to think of it, as we certainly don't want our own Fitzgerald Toussaint moment to happen.
