How can they give Vrabel the job when they wouldn't even interview him last year?

How does that work?
They couldn’t interview him last year without violating Mayo’s contract assurance that he would be the next HC. If they interviewed Vrabel they would’ve had to comply with the Rooney Rule. It would’ve upset Robert’s carefully arranged succession plan.

It’s impossible to tell because the teams that needed a QB are all at the top now.
No, you can tell if those teams pass on these QBs. The QBs in this draft are Kenny Pickett/Mac Jones type prospects not Jayden Daniels/Drake Maye prospects.

The worst thing the Titans, Browns or Giants can do is elevate them into a top 3 pick. They’re wasting the pick if they do.

Wondering if old friends like Jon Robinson, Scott Pioli, or Thomas Dimitroff come on temporarily to help with the coaching search. Would assume (hope) Kraft wouldn't rely on his gut again and there is really no experience on the staff currently to conduct a search.
Are Pioli and Dimitroff really “old friends” of the Krafts, or are they more likely seen by the Krafts as being on Team BB?

Mayo couldn't draw FA here he has no pull as a HC.

Idk, the locals are pretty disgusted with him. I think he will hide out for a year while collecting his big bucks on his terminated deal from Kraft and then try to catch on as a LB coach somewhere else in 2026.
He should go back to college for a post graduate education.

Wonder if Stevie needs an assistant LB coach?

They didn’t really make much effort to win it. Milton was just too good
Bills made a better effort to lose it.
Was he? I could have hit almost all those throws. We were that wide open.
He still had to deliver the ball. Knock on him before this was accuracy. He was accurate today.
In a few months when you've gotten the taste of this game out of your mouth, finally - watch it again.
No one would objectively disagree that that WR had miles of separation.

How did that happen? You think they just finally figured it out?

Naw. Bills know what they did.
Tommy’s right. Go watch it again. Watch Milton escape the clutches of defenders, sense blind side pressure, deliver the ball accurately on the run off platform. Then see if you can tell yourself it was all Bills not playing and really believe that.

Incorrect. Outside a handful of passes those receivers were in islands by them self.

Am I in gonzo land? You think we had THREE receivers at 100 yards or almost 100 yards in. A single game while having 0 in over 2years because Milton went ham?

The Bills did not, I repeat, did NOT give a serious effort. It was essentially throwing the game.

This is actually a bit scary, the Browns were one of a few teams with a worse offense than us and Vrabel would want the offensive coaches for the Browns to lead the offense in NE...just a couple of problems I could see with this.
He has to make the case when he interviews. I'm sure they'll ask him about his potential OC and DC picks.

There's zero way Kraft hires a former Patriot, some fired Brown offensive staff and keep Wolf right?

Right?!

Has he learned nothing?

???

Jones and Pickett were NOT considered QB's worth of being drafted in the top 12.

Mac Jones was drafted #15 and Kenny Pickett was drafted #20. I think that both were reasonable picks at those positions. Both could have been better than they have been with better coaching.
=============
It is not clear that this year's QB's are better than any of the seven 2024 first round QB's, all drafted in the top 12.

Well wouldn’t everyone be fired?
Need staff to process end of season protocol with players. Collect playbooks, run medical reviews, all the routine stuff still has to be done,

Bill Belichick would move mountains to come home.

I'd probably pick him over Vrabel I can tell you that.
All it would take is Bill’s ego and Robert’s ego burying the hatchet in a grave. Instead of in each other.

Props where props are due. Most people including me thought Kraft didn't have the balls to admit he was wrong after just 1 year. Jobs not done though. Wolf shouldn't still have his job. Don't partially clean house. Make that **** squeaky clean kraft!

Execution decides games. Mayo was playing reserves as well, you can't tell players to just lie down.
But you can change your play calls.

I don’t recall seeing the predictable first down runs between the tackles for one or two yards that we’ve all come to know and love, for example.

I would have had security escort him out of the building before he even made it back to the locker room, let alone the press conference.

**** around find out. Intentionally ****ing your “ex team” is grounds for this.

In no way did a single sole think buffalo was actually trying to win. It would have been justified
That is recommended standard practice when firing someone.

There are lots of good reasons for that. Sabotage like we’ve just seen is only one of them.

I know I did exactly this. I lined up interviews with jobs I didn't want to go early during any conference week when I was looking for a job. After 2 or 3 of them, you are much more polished.
Smart.

Also gives you practice interviewing potential employers. And candidate worth hiring is going to be as diligent in scrutinizing prospective employers as employers are at scrutinizing candidates. Maybe moreso, especially for employers not making the cut. Reportedly the Pats didn’t make the cut when interviewing a lot of prospective staff for Mayo. That was perhaps the first evidence he wasn’t up to the job, he had no idea what he was looking for in his staff.
