They would not be stupid enough to tell him to lose on purpose and then fire him. Pats would know Mayo woukd rat them out to Goodell and they would lose draft picks and be fined
Gronk...what a ridiculous comparison. He is a buffoon. In this case absolutely. He referenced JJ being 1-15 in his first season to go on and win 2 super bowls. The Cowboys had the pieces in place to do so, these Patriots clearly do not. Apples to oranges
The problem is that Gronk and guys of/around his era view Jerod as their friend from back in the day when they played with him. None of them were ever coached by him, they have no idea what’s gone on in the building here. They just look at the record and come up with excuses about how their buddy should’ve gotten more time.Gronk can **** off.
There is no way he was fired an hour after the game without it already being a foregone conclusion. If the reports are true, the decision that Mayo was going to be fired was made before the game.
Nope. That's an unsubstantiated "report" by Ben Trolin' piggybacking off of Schefter's actual report of the Mayo firing. AVP has not been fired as of right now.He is gone it has been reported
Gronk wouldn't be Gronk if he hadn't been in NE. I think TB12 and BB both had a good effect on keeping him in line. The problem is that Gronk and guys of/around his era view Jerod as their friend from back in the day when they played with him. I have come to dislike Gronk. The problem is that Gronk and guys of/around his era view Jerod as their friend from back in the day when they played with him. I loved it when Glazer destroyed Gronk at Brady's roast. Idiot.Gronk doesn’t watch football lol
I don’t care if he won 6 games by flipping a couple of these one score games, if it still looked so bad and disorganized and culturally awful with guys like Tavai attacking fans then I would have been calling for his job regardless. Conversely if he only had 2 wins but they were fighting hard and were buttoned up and being smart then I would’ve been more comfortable with a 2nd year.It isn’t a W-L thing with Mayo. We could have won four games and looked more promising doing it.
He said he wouldSo is Mayo going to have a must watch presser??
I always liked Jimmy, arguably the best coach in Cowboys’ history. Biggest mistake Jerrah ever made was firing him to satisfy his own ego.Gronk...what a ridiculous comparison. He is a buffoon.
Jimmy Johnson was actually a competent, head coach who won a national championship with a vision and execution strategy.
Mayo had none of that.
I'm a big Tom Landry fan so I never say Jimmy was a better coach than him....but he was close.I always liked Jimmy, arguably the best coach in Cowboys’ history. Biggest mistake Jerrah ever made was firing him to satisfy his own ego.
great, so they gave him added incentive to win, what a clown showIf the reports are true, the decision that Mayo was going to be fired was made before the game.
He’s only saying that to make it seem like he actually has inside infoNope. That's an unsubstantiated "report" by Ben Trolin' piggybacking off of Schefter's actual report of the Mayo firing. AVP has not been fired as of right now.
I hope the Krafts can get the meddling tendencies out of their system. One interesting thing about this for coach candidates is that they’re no longer “the guy after the guy” following in Belichick’s giant shadow - now they are the guy after Jerod freakin’ Mayo. The fanbase has now seen how bad it can TRULY get and will probably be a lot more patient just by getting baseline professional football from the jump.
