Jeff Howe: The Patriots haven't been this angry since 07'....expect them to be aggressive

As much as I do think BB will keep them on track and even use all the exterior stuff as motivation, I really doubt this is gonna be anything like 07. That team had historic talent and played in an era before training camp got virtually extended into week 4. Combine that with all the injuries and fatigue, and I think this is going to be way more like last year: an uneven start before they hopefully kick it into gear. I think it's unrealistic to expect otherwise.

Would glad to be wrong though.

You know all those azzwholes have been sitting down there in NY for the past 16 years thinking that the 4 rings belonged to them, if only BB had stayed there. They feel betrayed and like a scorned GF, they have no limits to their vengeance.

Yup. Jets get left at the alter.

But if they were as half as smart as they think they are they would have let Bill Parcells coach the Pats in the Superbowl, and then after the Superbowl is over they could have just requested to interview BB for their open HC position.

I guess the Rats perception of themselves falls somewhat short of reality.

Agreed. That team may have gone 16-0 even without Spygate, they just probably wouldn't have broken as many scoring records as they did.

Yup, that team was stacked - as was the 2008 team, which would have done well if Brady was still there.

Personally, I am worried about tonight. Never like warm rain games.

A really well-written, extremely insightful article with quotes by Donte Stallworth and Kevin Faulk. You should read this before the game starts tonight.

IMO, I'd love to see the Pats play as angry as they did in 2007. But I hope Bill doesn't push them too hard the way he did that year, and expose them to injuries late into blowout games. And if they manage to ride this wave of emotion late into the playoffs, I'd be concerned about players getting worn and feeling drained in critical, crucial moments (remember Super Bowl 42?)

Long, cool burn. Use the whole team

I would love it if we could somehow just slap Brady's face over Hulk's, and make him Hulk-smash a giant NFL shield. Or Goodell's face. Either is fine.
OK .. Here you go
