Maye proved last year that when he had time, and even when he didn’t, that he can be successful with the crap set of receivers we had. Build up the lines, protect him, and add some solid pieces around him. 100% behind focusing on the OL/DL
Even Brady was exposed when he didn't have competent WR's.Not everybody is Brady. Montana had Rice, Mahomes had Tyreek, Manning had Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Farve had Sterling Sharpe.
I don't trust this team to pick a great wr past the first round. That's not their core competency. If a stud receiver lands in your lap in the top 4, I feel more confident in them making the right decision and then picking the trench pieces in the 2nd rd and afterwards. But that's just me.
Armrest ashtrays filled with Marlboro buttsT didn't want to go to NE with those facilities.
Crappy old whiskey dent airplane all painted like new aint fooling anybody.
I'm very amused by the Eagles won with the lines view all of a sudden everyone has. Here's the full article:
What I’m hearing at the NFL combine: Patriots prioritizing the trenches (not Tee Higgins)
After a 4-13 campaign in 2024, Eliot Wolf and the Patriots are expected to transform their offensive and defensive lines this offseason.www.nytimes.com

I understand they can't rebuild the team in one off-season, but they are picking the trenches as the focus for now. With that said, I still think Higgins is going to NE.
Think about how Vrabel completely downplayed the “Vrabel and McDaniels are a tandem” stories during the OC search, making it sound like he was an afterthought. Then he picked McDaniels and the stories were basically shown to be true. I wouldn’t want to play poker against him.I got a feeling Vrabel wouldn’t show his hand his true intentions, thinking he wants both.

To get WR Brown traded a 1st and a 4th and signed him to a 4 year 100-million-dollar deal
WR Davonta Smith taken with #10 pick in the draft.
Adding in the Brown trade they spent 3 firsts on WR in the last 6 years.
Barkley, the non-QB MVP is the RB. Before Barkley they didn't win any Super Bowls with this top O Line
1 O line starter drafted in the first round.
Seems like they won on offense by investing in skill players.
Chiefs Offensive line was good enough to go 17-3 yet they couldn't handle the Eagles. They would have been better off with skill players that got open quick and a QB that was a fast processor.
Here are the top 7 offensive lines using the average of 6 different ratings:
Detroit
Eagles
Falcons
Chiefs
Browns
Colts
Jets
4 out of 7 missed the playoffs.
The top 6 offenses were
Lions, Bills, Ravens, Bucs, Commanders, Bengals-Only 1 was top 7 in Offensive Line.
I'm all on board with a defensive line investment but Tee Higgins is a better WR than any Tackle available, so you take the WR
Would you not agree that the win came because the Kansas D was gassed, and the Eagles D dominated.. nothing for me says the O-lines won or lost this game.I'm very amused by the Eagles won with the lines view all of a sudden everyone has.

I was in On Chad Jackson, and Tyquan Thornton.Fact is this organization would have done much better at drafting receivers if they just posted a poll, when their turn is up in the draft, on this forum to see who we would want. RLKAG would not count.
I said “much better”. I didn’t say “perfect” hahaI was in On Chad Jackson, and Tyquan Thornton.
God Help me.

I think Jackson would’ve been decent had he not torn his ACL. He would’ve learned a lot from Moss.I was in On Chad Jackson, and Tyquan Thornton.

Had all the tools.I think Jackson would’ve been decent had he not torn his ACL. He would’ve learned a lot from Moss.
Jackson in year 3 was still talking about trying to learn the playbook. His problem wasn't a lack of athleticism it was playing in a pro style offense against real NFL CBs.I think Jackson would’ve been decent had he not torn his ACL. He would’ve learned a lot from Moss.
He said he couldn't run or cut after the ACL tear.Jackson in year 3 was still talking about trying to learn the playbook. His problem wasn't a lack of athleticism it was playing in a pro style offense against real NFL CBs.
