Jared Allen is a capable DE against the run, but he's a pass rusher first. Red Bryant is a run stopper.

The report earlier by @Edwerderespn stated Allen and the Seahawks are working on final details. Ed didn't report agreement was finalized.

Also, it was Antonio Cromartie who went to the Cardinals. If he isn't the dumpster fire he was last year, he can be one of the league's better second or third corners.

Personally I'm not going to look that far ahead, to who the NFC representative will be in Glendale eleven months from now.

I don't think he is a downgrade and as other pointed out he is a different type of player. That said, I think Allen is more of a pass rush specialist at this point and it does make him a bit redundant with Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril.

I don't understand why a lot of people on here don't care about the NFC. We'd mostly likely have to beat them in the super bowl if we want the Lombardi. Anytime teams like the niners, seahawks, saints, and packers get big additions it's not good.
