Regardless of Brissett's status, I think Mayo should activate Milton for a few games to see what we have. The rest of the season should be evaluation of the rookies to see who might be keepers.
They can activate Milton
In no way should he play
Maye needs reps.
Milton can get his reps in practice and next year exhibition games

Are you a member of the Mayo household? Obviously playing for Jerrod the Fraud, the most unqualified coach the NFL has seen in ages, is “not ideal”. Brissett should be cut for telling the truth?
Haha no but you can't be going public with this type of stuff no matter how true it may be.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say say that THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN COME UP WITH TO ***** ABOUT? ****….even BB understood people on SM to a degree but for ****s sake, *****ing about who I’m sure YOU’D label as a has been/loser/complainer for saying something where he is not far off the mark and we are nearing the end of the season is asinine. Let it go. Same idiots calling for Mayos head on a pike after the soft comments are probably the same ones posting this drivel. The man JACOBY , did his job and did it well this year. He took his shots, didn’t ***** about it, got up and took MORE! So the **** what if he said something you don’t agree with? Your opinion isn’t the only one, just like mine isnt as well.

This team, coach included, just say whatever pops into their heads.

This man has the nerve to speak the truth in the most polite way possible. He should probably be stoned.

I don't recall Brissett ever be the type of player who does toxic ****. The situation must be that bad for him to say something like this.
That’s what I was thinking too. He has a reputation as a high character guy. This makes me think it must be really bad in the locker room.

Speaking of.

They generally play zone but the teams playing the Pats always go man because the receivers can't separate. Gasper was saying the WRs would have a good game because they play zone, but their coaches aren't stupid.

For the people who think there's no chance Mayo or Wolf get fired, Brissett is laying out the blueprint.

hes right
the Oline is atrocious and the WR core is almost as bad, not to mention play calling and never having a lead to protect

this team is a downright embarrassment
BK should be selling paper bags at the concession stands and you should be refunded your ticket prices

Even on fluff shows like NFLN's "NFL Game Day Highlights" the hosts that barely watch anything but highlights are talking about the Patriots having the worst offensive line in the league.

If these talking heads that rarely say anything negative can notice that, you know the OL (and everything else) has to be beyond really bad.

Yeah, they're supposed to be robots.
But the situation must be more frustrating for the veteran players than the fans.
I'll be here next year watching the team, God willing.
A lot of the rookies will be.
For players like Brissett, this may be it. And he gave everything he had.

There were several of us in the offseason pointing out the Patriots might want to consider hiring a left tackle, as that is often considered a relevant position. The wide receiver situation came up occasionally. Yes, they made a bid on the only free agent last year, Ridley. Sadly, when that failed, what could they be expected to do? But deciding not to staff the team with a left tackle was surprising.

Maye has said Brissett has been nothing but helpful, in a way that some former veteran Patriots QB's were rumored not to be.
I think he's earned the right to be politely frustrated with a 3-11 season.

I understand the OP’s point, but Brisset is a long time backup and known to be a consummate professional. I’m not sure just how much evidence we need to know that Mayo and Wolf need to go. I hope Kraft is paying attention.

The 32-year-old didn’t play well enough to have a longer leash, but as he relayed to reporters last week, the situation around him didn’t help the cause.
“There’s so much I could say, but I guess, ‘not ideal.’ Obviously, a unique situation here,” Brissett told reporters, per ESPN’s Mike Reiss. “I’m not the one to make excuses, but at some point, somebody is going to have to watch the film and understand what I was dealing with. I think that kind of speaks for itself. I think it’s very easy for people to blame the quarterback for things — that’s what this profession is — but yeah man, tough year.”

If Mayo/Wolfe don't release him right now, he has zero control over the team. Fair comments or not, you don't say that out loud.
Brissett is wrong for saying it publicly, but he is factual.
The GM failed miserably with his draft picks and use of $100,000,000 of cap space and turned the offense over to a guy who has no business being an NFL OC. Brissett was doomed.

Brissett probably wasn’t going to ever light it up, but you can’t judge anybody fairly with this head coach. One of the worst coaches in the league.
