My initial reaction was to oppose a covered stadium, and further reflection only confirms that view. One wrinkle: as more and more teams go the covered arena route, fewer and fewer players and teams will have experience playing out in very adverse weather, making that advantage more valuable over time. Sometimes it is a legit advantage to be an outlier, and this is one of those times.
Yeah, how many times has our home field advantage come into play in January? I can't imagine giving that up. I left New England a long time ago and live in warm climes these days, but I'll go back east and freeze my ass off for a playoff game.
There's no such thing as bad weather, only poor clothing choices.
Unrelated note, but if we make the playoffs and host a playoff game, are some of the cold-adverse folks here opposed to selling a dumb vet and his crazy wife a couple tickets to the game?
