I mean Dan Orlovsky voted for Stafford in part because their friendship. Albert Breer and Sean McVey are close friends and Breer has used that relationship for stories. Farmer seems to be just focused on this one relationship.

In every aspect of news, people use personal relationships with media to get their story and spin out. It isn't unique to this one instance. It happens in politics all the time. I won't give specific examples to turn this political, but you have seen examples of politicians actually speaking to media members to coordinate message. That is far worse than a sports writer giving favorable press to a coach she is having a sexual relationship with. Because that is real world meaningful stuff.
