Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in danger? (Vrabel + Russini)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
Drake Maye again comes out in full support of Vrabel. And you cannot get a stronger voice of support by this Southern Christian QB.

Patriots QB Maye backs Vrabel, not worried about distraction

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye called Mike Vrabel "a great human being" and said he doesn't believe the coach's off-field issues will be a distraction for the defending AFC champions this upcoming season.

"No, I don't," Maye said. "I mean, he's our head coach. I think he's done a great job of talking to us and talking us through it. I'm just looking forward to getting back to work and getting ready."

You're wrong time and again, Mr. Rob.

This is a story that hasn't gone away. It just won't die. It has legs.

Oops. Maybe one of the woman's children has legs that came from an Ohio State's DNA.

That would do it. I'm already on record as saying that Vrabel is toast as the NEP HC.

A disaster offseason.

And Urban Meyer is a helluva coach. One of the greatest. But like Lou Saban, it just didn't translate to the pros, for whatever reason.

And Meyer was caught just grabbing ass in a bar. In Vrabel's case the polyamorous female made him her surrogate husband.
No, he was a hell of a recruiter who had a gimmick offense that took college football 10 years to figure out.
It took the NFL about 10 seconds to figure it out.

OMG I hope they didn't have sex.

Who gives a crap, the guy was screwing around on his wife. If the kid is his, so what, he will have to pay paternity costs, if it isn't he won't. I don't want to use him as a role model, and don't give a crap what he does in his off time, as long as it isn't illegal. Screwing around on your wife, whether or not she knows about it, isn't illegal.

Time to retire this meme.

No one is in denial about there being an affair any more.

She isn't a reporter any more, so there is no info leakage / unfair advantage angle to explore any more.

As for the paternity thing, it doesn't impact his job status.

NFL has already said they aren't investigating this thing, and paternity doesn't change a thing in that regard.

It's something for the families to handle, not the NFL.

Of course the story will die. The Hindenburg eventually died as a news story.

But you groupies aren't understanding that in its wake damage will be done.

There's been a PR hit at the very least for the franchise.

I know one or two Jets fans that have finally had levity brought into their sad, pathetic lives because of this story.

The Patriots are the laughing stock of the league.

This too shall pass.

But how many more news cycles will feature this story?

Indeed. Brady was able to co-parent his pre-marital kid with Bridget as well as his marital kids with Gisele. These are all wealthy people. Money solves a lot of problems. If this is Mike's kid, they'll work something out.

Many, probably, but so what?

There was an affair. This may or may not have produced a child. The families will handle it.

Drake Maye has moved on. You should too.

Their team still sucks, their owner really sucks, their coach sucks, and their starting QB(s) suck.

They may find levity via MIke's off the field behavior, but he beat their sad-ass team twice last season.

HAHAAH you think that if the posters of pats fans.com stop reporting on the new stuff..it will go away? Nobody of the other 31 give a **** about this website. This **** is coming whether you like it or not. Nothing you or I can do about it.

Ignoring it doesn't mean it isn't real and possibly doing the team harm.
Keep laughing...

This issue matters to Pats fans WAY more than it does to any other fan of any of the 31 other teams. For them this is nothing more than a reason to poke fun at the Pats and pray that that Vrabel is fired or resigns.

Now for us, this a painful issue that stains our franchise and could potentially derail the rebuild of a dynasty if Vrabel leaves.

But yeah keep laughing, keep reading and keep reposting all this nonsense, and watch it balloon every single day...

PR hit?!? The Patriots have never had a PR hit in it's existence and this is going to hurt their stellar record of never having a single controversy.

This team overcame Spygate, Deflategate, Aaron Hernandez, the Brady/Belichick drama, Belichick/Kraft drama, the Sullivan years, etc. This is nothing compared to those. This is only getting so much attention because it is the offseason and nothing else is going on the NFL world.

It isn't about being a groupie. It is about paying attention to the Patriots history and the response of the players who are rallying around Vrabel. This could actually make the team stronger, not weaker.

And don't care what the Jets fans think.

Show me a rumor that the Patriots players are turning on Vrabel. Just a rumor. Every player who has spoke publicly about this issue have given strong statements of support of Vrabel. The team loves Vrabel. It could be a problem for another coach, but Vrabel is a coach that has his team willing to run through walls for him. Those types of coaches are not going to derail because of this.

Isn’t it nice to see so many Bills fans and Jets fans and Eagles fans and Steelers fans all so concerned with helping New England do the smart thing here? Everyone is being so helpful!! All they want is what is best for us!!

Zeke Mowatt is hurt you forgot about him.

Both families probably get broken up over this. Vrabel's personal life just went nuclear some few weeks ago.

Take a year off, buddy, to sort out things on the home front. Everyone loves you. You're a great coach.

Probably even a better recruiter.

That's why your alma mater THE Ohio State Buckeyes are drooling over the prospect of having you return.

Prodigal Son.

Drake Maye has moved on. You should too.
Posting 200+ times on Vrabel threads and insisting there's nothing to see....
Is this your way of "moving on"?

Synonyms for pathological
obsessive
compulsive
fixated
infatuated
fanatical
whackadoo

Wow !
Next level delusion.....congrats

Are you day drinking?

PS.....How are Kraft's and Belichick's HOF campaigns working out?

Sure he says that now. How many more times is he gonna have to talk about it before it does start being an irritation. This story, it isn't going away. There is more to come and it's coming every few days. They are still sitting on some of the biggest stuff no doubt.

Vrabel did the team dirty. I do know this. They pissed someone off. Just like Kraft, someone said oh yeah well **** you dude. Thats why this is happening. Vrabel and or Russini did something to piss someone off. Thats the only reason these people get caught. If you don't have someone out to get you, nobody cares.
