Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in any danger now? (Vrabel Allegedly Caught Kissing Russini in New Photos 6-Years Ago)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
Welcome to this week's episode of As the Stomach Turns.

Dang he’s really in the doghouse, had to fly commercial. Not surprised Robert wouldn’t let him use the Gulfstream, but he couldn’t even spring for a NetJets charter to avoid the paparazzi? Heber Valley or South Valley Regional are both more convenient than SLC and have the added advantage of fewer cameras. But no airport shopping. Maybe that was his priority.

Yeah, no one knows how that will play out over time.

Personally, right now I'm seeing him in a somewhat different light than when he was declaring his innocence, ya know, to protect his family.

Not enough to dislike him or want him gone since I'm a pretty open minded person, but enough to tickle my hypocrisy filter, and really wish he really did give us the best version of himself instead of the less-wonderful one he's now backing his way into coping to bit by bit.

I'm thinking he can still be a strong coach and team leader, but he probably has to tread carefully when he talks about character, accountability and putting the team first. That part of his messaging IMO needs to undergo a careful and thorough review, lest he create a credibility gap for himself.

No one knows what he told the team, but it seems if he hasn't done it already, his best move is to really clear the air and address what he did directly with the team, and not obliquely like he has been doing in this public appearances.
You nailed it. If he no longer has the credibility among the 53 men in the locker room to lead "about character, accountability and putting the team first" then he has lost the locker room and will have to go. If he does have that credibility, he can stay. You rightly perceive that what you or I or any one else "thinks" about him is irrelevant. It's what the 53+1 (Kraft) believe that matters.

I think it was the video that someone posted from the draft where either Lomu or Jacas were on the phone with the draft room and Wolf told him they had just traded up and drafted him.

He handed the phone to Vrabel and I thought I detected Vrabel catching himself and not saying something that he would have said last year, because he is compromised and it could have been seen as hypocritical.

Unfortunately, sex and violence sell and there are plenty of buyers...

This is one of the reasons why you don't cheat, especially if you are a high profile individual. Anyone can be a digital sleuth these days and people don't take any precautions on public nowadays.

This isnt going away. It is a distraction. Its also a pathetic display of vrabels personal life. Its apparent he didn't think any of this would get out so they didn't even try and hide even when there were reports in Tennessee

It started with the nypost. They've basically admitted that it was to troll vrable and the pats.... Would care less if it happens to a jest coach. I certainly wouldn't go chasing the story.
This is the same publication which put an asterisk next to the Patriots in the standings during the 2007 season.

This is one of the several issues which Bob Kraft doesn't get.

Seems there are 3 different issues:
1) The fact there is an affair
2) The fact that he executed the affair so poorly
3) The fact that he handled the post-discovery phase so poorly

As above, if the team executes well at the start of the season it'll all fade into the noise, and that's the most likely outcome.

Yet if the team stumbles, and his ability to lead seems to be impaired, and if more women pop out of the woodwork, it could be trouble.

Confirmation bias is real.

Seems like he's better at football than affairs.

He's done so much on and off the field for us I don't care about him being human and thus not perfect.

Now there's something today that came out regarding Russini and Payton something about text messages.. .. personally I believe the players will love Vrabel even more becuase in sense they will feel even though he's our head coach he still likes to lay the wood!.. jk.. but i love Vrabel the coach and the man..
