Is Brandon Spikes injured, or what?

I don't see anything mentioned here. I'm sorry, isn't this kind of a big deal, that Spikes has just sort of vanished? Missing practices for an "unknown" reason? What's up?

Take a a couple of deep breaths and tell us what it is you are so uptight about.

Please include the following:
I heard on ---- that Spikes vanished
or
So and so is reporting that Spikes has vanished

or,
Provide a link to a story that story written by a credible source that says Spikes has vanished.

Without any of that then this thread will vanish the next time I check it, and the reason will not be unknown.

No, I wasn't kidding. You used the words "vanished". You said "unknown reason". You sounded as if you were in a panic.

Now if he missed practice for an "unknown reason", I'll bet the reason is known, just not by you and I or the mediots. BB sometimes will give a player practice off, it does not mean that the player is not in the facilities doing something else.

I am not concerned yet. If he couldn't practice early in the week, they might have held him out all week because he wouldn't play anyway tomorrow night. I will hold my reservation until the Pats start practicing again next week. They do have a long break between this game and game #2. Granted their last three games are ridiculously put together (three games in ten days).

At any rate, being held out of several practices in a row seems a bit odd at this juncture, particularly for a guy who has had trouble staying on the field. Missing the Saints practices seemed odd especially. Was wondering if someone maybe had heard something.

OK, I change the thread title so people won't be tuning in to ID TV's "Disappeared", expecting to see a story on Brandon Spikes.

I think you are being a little hyper sensative here. The OP may be jumping the gun on his concern it has only been a few practices but I think you are being incredibly nitpicky by questioning the use of vanished. I can only go by myself but I assumed he meant vanished from the practice fields and I did not think that Spikes had been abducted by aliens and disappeared .

I will put Spikes in the same category as Vollmer and Mankins which is that my concern is not high right now but the more time passes before we see them the more concern I have. I think IMO a first milestone for all 3 would be getting back on the practice field before preseason game 2 so that they could get some work in game 3. but even then they all are vets and can probably step in with little practice so I wont really be highly concerned until the regular season.

It is only a big deal if he continues to miss time going into the next week or two. He had offseason knee surgery and they may be keeping him on a pitch count of some sort.

I guess you guys have it in for this guy aluminum? He asked a pretty straight forward answer. He was right - there isn't a lot being said or written about Spikes' absence.

But nobody here bothered to really answer his question which is what happened to Spikes? Did he get hurt in that fight, after the fight, or what? What is the nature of the injury?
