why is such a continuous blather of drum beating emanating from NFL headquarters...constant nutbaggery on the same issues over and over..."18 game season and London!~!!!!! ...18 game season and London!!!!!!!!!.. you know you all WANT IT!!!!!!"

WHO wants this? what percentage of the overall fanbase of the NFL wants this??? what are the figures??? ....work on and improve safety and equipment for the players of the sport....standardize the referee architecture...educate, test and work on ways to improve the decision making of the game officials...focus on the youth of America, giving opportunity to all young football players to learn and improve their football skills under an umbrella program run by the NFL.

Stop this grandstanding insanity by the NFL trying to cram garbage ideas like 18 game schedules and London teams down our throats.

Joker you are missing a fundamental part of EVERY decision by the NFL. It's not about fans, it never has been. As far as they are concerned they must do the absolute bare minumum to keep the sheep coming. Its a 9 BILLION dollar company that truly cares about one thing.... profits. Its not about maintaining the status quo or keeping the fans happy. Short of boycotting games live and on TV there is no way for fans to impact the NFL and we both know that will never happen. It's too ingrained in our culture. I am of the opinion that the players get paid a ton of money and agreed in exchange for getting paid that insane amount of money to live by the NFL rules and decisions. If the NFL finds it to be a smart business decision then they are going to do it and *****ing about it does nothing. As for why its just the NFL that is doing this all the other sports are already played in Europe. Football is the lone purely American sport that can expand. Though my personal opinion is they are fighting an uphill battle against "real" football that they will not win. I hope it falls flat on its face and the NFL loses money by the truck load so we americans can continue to enjoy watching men pound each other into the turf.
