Honestly blaming Gronk is silly in so many levels but think abt the conflict of interest. Sure you want to know what he's thinking but he's the player, not someone making decisions abt depth, the future etc.
Gronk also wasn't even very good last year except as a third tackle, so it's not like there wasn't a need at tight end regardless of Gronk''s decision. Gambling on Lacosse would be fine as a second or third tight end but he should never have been in a position to start (or split reps with Ben Watson's shambling corpse).
