I'm take'd out.

I haven't watched anything media related and I've barely read these forums in 2 weeks. I have no interest in predictions and talking heads giving their irrelevant opinion on what will happen. I'm just ready for this game.

Quite simply; I see it like this..

NE is the Vegas Favorite. However, collectively & "sentimentally" ATL is the favorite.

NE is who "many" think will win, but ATL is who most want to win.

Agreed, Atlanta is a low-key franchise and Steelers/Packers/Cowboys/Broncos etc are definitely rooting for them because they are not a contender in "The best ever" competition.

The butterflies are slowly setting in. By this time tomorrow I'll probably be irritable and by about 3p and onward I'll be a mess.

Being in the UK, I don't really get subjected to all these shows so I can pick and choose what to watch and when.....

Therefore I just watch Katie Nolan on YouTube......man I'm in love! Helps that she's a Pats fan!

If she played her cards right, I might let her...

Back to football

I keep forgetting to turn off the radio at 2 and accidentally listen to a few minutes of Felger & Mazz

I went to DC the Monday after the Steelers game and got back to Boston last night. It was if there was no Superbowl at all for 12 days. I did not get NFL network in hotel and only ESPN which barely acknowledged there was a game coming up.

From what I've been reading (which could mean nothing) from the non-media talking heads is that Vegas is confident New England will win and knows the nation will be drooling at the prospect of spotting 3 points to the Falcons who have all the sudden become the "Greatest Show on Turf." As long as Vegas is confident that makes me feel a little better inside.

The two weeks of balls psi nonsense was unbearable. This two week leadup has been for the most part light hearted and fun, from what I've seen. Sure, some tin foil hats have been put on (Faulk), but do people even take him seriously anymore? Most people are talking "Is Brady the greatest ever if he wins".

I been meaning to mention for awhile now how your avatar always puts a smile on my face, Butters is the best!

Other than here and listening to the PFW show's I've avoided pretty much anything SB related (unless you count the SB promo in Madden 17) and it's made for a very enjoyable week.

Yet this is probably the best SB media week you'll ever get, all things considered.

Playing a pretty unassuming team in the Falcons (who have been respectful) and most of the talk has been about Brady's legacy as the GOAT.

Now if this were us facing the Giants, ************......the ****talking + the reminders of 2007/2011 would be unbearable. The Packers? It'd be a Rodgers slobfest/"passing of the torch" narrative all week, etc.

Not to mention it couldn't ever get any WORSE than 2014, where Deflategate ruined the whole fun/light-hearted nature of media week.

So yeah, in perspective, it's been a a cool media week.
yes it has been Patriot worship, so much better than the last time! They have tried a little to hype the Falcons but no one cares about them. Hell if they win no one will care about them.

You can pick and choose here too. Some people choose not to
watch/listen, some take it for what it is and some choose to let it bother them.

Anyway, to the thread starter, here is the Fox schedule for tomorrow. I'm personally trying to not turn on NFLN or any other SB coverage today, but Coach Bill, Bob Kraft and TB segments tomorrow may be good for Pats Fans.

What happened to NFL Network showing past super bowls in the days leading up to the game? Now it is a nonstop blabfest
If I am not mistaken the league has cut way back on full game replays in an attempt to get people to purchase their GamePass. To me the best part of NFLN was their replays of the previous week's games and that almost completely disappeared this past season.

With that gone there is in my opinion really no reason to watch NFLN. If others feel the same way that would result in even lower ratings, which would give cable providers a reason to not include it in their basic packages, demand lower fees, and to assign it an obscure channel. In other words the NFL plan to increase revenues completely backfires and causes the opposite effect.

Then again I could be completely wrong. Die hard fans that desire actual intelligent analysis are in the minority. The masses crave gossip and Hot Takez! From day one when the NFLN filled executive positions with former ESPN employees they have striven to be the NFL-only version of ESPN.

One of these days I'm going to call in to Tomasole when he's on the radio. Any questions you want asked? Anyone else?

Pro tips.

Just something to keep in mind when you call. They will probably ask what you're going to ask. Lie and say it's some softball question. Spending at least 8-9 seconds on some sort of fluff or whatever you have to do to get to 8-9 seconds, and then ask the hard hitting question. The hosts know what you're going to ask before it even comes up because they see it on a screen, so it'll shock them.

They can try to hit the delay on you, but it's only a 7-second delay, and, at the least, your first 2-3 seconds will make it to air and they will have to try and lie away why the delay got hit on you. There's a chance they'll be shocked enough that they won't hit the delay on time and look even more stupid or force FatAsse (aka Fat Jared) to address the question.

I remember after the Texans playoff game, I turned to NFLN hoping to see a bit of Brady and BB's press conferences (I only get WSBK with my package in Canada for a local channel who sometimes have the 5th Quarter on) and nothing at all like there always was...but there was a DJ playing music...

I feel kinda negligent as a Pats fan sometimes that I don't spend more time in between games here but I honestly can't tolerate the BS from the likes of ESPN etc anymore. As soon as the AFCCG was over I celebrated on here and then I unplugged for two weeks while only minimally paying attention to the media BS. Since it's the day before I'm back but I haven't really followed whatever sorry ass story lines the media has created for this super bowl. All that matters is the kickoff is at 6:40 tomorrow.

Two years ago was bad, and 2007-08 was brutal.

Yet even though I have avoided BSPN and NFLN, the two weeks leading up to this game still feels more draining than any of the other Super Bowl years for some reason. Maybe it is a cumulative effect from ten years of media bs, who knows.

Hopefully this Patriot team is not experiencing the same fatigue, and they can Ignore The Noise better than I have been able to do.
