If you could bring back only ONE Patriot from the past, that has NEVER made the Pro Bowl in their career, to play on this team for rest of the year

If we saying “during NE career”, I’d definitely go Thuney (though he did make Pro Bowls while w the Chiefs).

If we’re saying “never ever pro bowler”, I’ll go Neal.

The OL, while fine, could use a LG. Especially depth.
Yeah, kept my powder dry til now. But I like your way of thinking.

OL & G (L or R) or even C is best need for them right now and I second the vote for wrestler Neal.

This is an easy one... Give Drake Maye a certain Hart Lee Dykes before his injury, and we're SB bound.

Blount would help so much.

My first thought was Mosi Tapupu, but he made the pro bowl as a special teamer.

This is a great idea for a thread. Well done!

I want two guys... a center; Dave Wohlabagh, Bill Lenkitis, Pete Brock, Jon Morriss... dealers choice. You pick your favorite.

WR Darryl Stingley. I don't think I need to tell anyone here why.

Patrick Chung would be a great addition going into the play offs.

Everyone is picking their binkies from year's past, that's all fine and good... but it's supposed to add to this year's team. This team could use another impact player, especially after injuries.

I'm adding Nate Solder to this team. He played at a near Pro Bowl level every year and got overlooked because fan voters had Patriot's fatigue. Another big punishing tackle would really put this team over the top.

Who would it be and why? (Edit: Whoops! Ok to make things more interesting let's leave out the most glaringly obvious choice of Julian Edelman )

List the year they were from also.

For example:

1974 Mini Mac Herron
2012 Brandon Spikes
1984 Stephen Starring
1995 Pat Harlow

I thought this would be a fun little thought experiment to kill time as we're going stir crazy during the bye.
The Closer, Duron Harmon.

I would probably go Ted Washington. He did make pro bowls at Buffalo but not in his year here. I agree on Neal.

2004 Daniel Graham
2016 LaGarette Blount

Upgrade the short yardage run game.
I was going to say '16 Blount too. He would make this offense a legit contender. As of now, I think our weak short/inside run game (which accounts for horrible RZ offense) is the reason we won't get to the AFCCG.

Yep. Definitely a weakness I hope they worked on during the bye. Blount would definitely be my choice for this team this year. Even Blount didn’t do it all the time, though.
