One of the problems with having a SB party is too many people snort your cocaine.

I thought that heroin was back in a big way, and that coke was dead as...dead?

As for myself in Hershey, home of mostly PitsDirt Squealers idiots, I'll be downstairs in the cave,
while the wife & kids will either be watching upstairs or - if they know what's good for them -
out of the house completely.

so glad i am not having people over this year...people annoy me...and if the pats lose..there is always that one person that says...there is always next year...then i would get super pissed off

See, that's a case where the rules regarding violent assault need to be waived.

I've got several good friends to help me out. Evan Williams, Jim Beam, Ezra Brooks, and my Old Grand Dad.

Beat me to it.
I'm with Jack....Daniels.

But I limit during game drinking.

I always say I'm going to. And I sorta pull through the first quarter responsibly. But then, sometime before halftime, I just acknowledge that the day isn't going to go as I'd planned, and by midway through the third quarter, I'm spending every moment either aggressively/drunkenly cheering on the Patriots or viciously mocking the color commentary.

I am astonished at how many WISH to watch this game, ALONE.

I DO respect ~ and even ADMIRE ~ your Yankee Solitarity.

However, I would HATE to be there ~ win OR lose ~ without the company of my beloved brethren...to TOAST the Patriots for their glorious Quest, EVEN in Defeat...and ESPECIALLY to TOAST the Patriots for their ~ for OUR!! ~ glorious and incandescent VICTORY!!!

I understand perfectly.

My Bro, his son, our Dad, and a few others will be joined by Ron Bacardi and Sam Adams ~ Patriot!! :rocker:

...Perhaps even a guest appearance by Jack Daniels.

As for your choice of Solitude, I perfectly understand: There is no greater Joy in Life than to find a great Lady with whom to share it...But, having divested oneself of a relationship gone BAD ~ and God knows I've BEEN there ~ Solitude provides a comforting Joy all its OWN.

Moderation is greatly overrated.

Anyone else banning salsa from their gathering?

...

My boyfriend picked up some Johnny Blue. Not that I'm planning on a celebratory shot after the game or anything but like my momma always says: "BE PREPARED":rocker:

I did my share "back in da day" of that dreadful drug.

I can guarantee that anyone doing coke while watching football is not having a good time...it's just impossible.

Let's see....I wish I could grind my teeth all game long constantly thinking about my next line and wondering if I have enough! Eff that ****!

I know, bro. I used to snort a lot of Coke, but the bubbles effed up my sinuses. The absolute WORST part was getting one of those small ice chips lodged in your sinus cavity. The brain freeze was unbearably painful. I finally gave it up and now just mainline bourbon.

Good sense of humor Gwedd...shows me you weren't offended. Now watch someone act like they're offended and try to tell me "I have a good time when I'm wired!"

I remember taking xanax and doing shots after the blow was gone...but hey, I didn't have a problem!

When the Pats aren't in the Super Bowl, I invite the world to my house since my house is most conducive to tons of people (I got TVs everywhere). If the Pats are in the Super Bowl, I keep the guest list to about 10-15 people at the most so we can actually watch the game. The kids get their own room and the non-football fans can get the bar area.

Why would you even bother coming in the first place? Just stay home. Sounds DREADFUL.

Cause I will show everyone i have some balls.. Im a man d%#*!@t.. I always try to teach my kids not to back down or be intimitated. Lol.. Though i might end up chickening out.....

At least my 10 year old daughter is prepared.. She was sitting on the couch the other day and on tv it mentioned that up next a piece was on about the giants. She goes" Giants?..... But they Suck!!:rocker:

H3ll, I spent most of my life playing in bands, or around other musicians. Between that, and my years in the Navy, there's not much I haven't seen.

I try not to judge. I figure Karma will take care of things much better than I could hope for.

You're absolutely right...everyone has to find their own way in life.

I guess "Live & Let Live" is the best policy

I've met a LOT of recovering addicts and alkies who were part of the "Night Life Crew"...people in bands, bartenders, waitresses...it's very conducive to craving something that will extend the night. I get a sick feeling when I think about how many times I was still awake when the birds started singing and I watched "normal" people head off to work.

BTW...before I stopped, I used to want to smash into people with those idiotic AA bumper-stickers. Especially the "One Day at Time" one!

Now I see them and think...Wow! There's a lot of us out there!

Sorry to get so off-topic and thanks for allowing me to rant!

We'll have to diverge on THAT one, my friend.

I've only touched it the once in the last 15 years ~ are Forum Posts admissible in court?? ~ but I promise you that if I didn't want to live forever, I'd be on that stuff right NOW!!

And the last time WAS at a FootBall Game ~ Super Bowl 38, baby!! ~ and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed myself!! My GOD, what a great Battle!! :rocker:

Not offended, Bro: I just have a more...casual...relationship with that magnificent Drug than you appear to have. It IS quite possible to have a good time when you're wired, you know...It's sort of the entire REASON to get wired.

Just don't snort your BRAINS out, is all!! :singing:

We'd better redirect this back to the OP after your next post ~ I'll give you that last word, my friend ~ otherwise this is getting shoveled into the Trench, and that would be a shame...

My wife's friend (who says she is a pats fan) looked at me funny and then laughed during superbowl 42 when I yelled at the TV saying "They (the Pats) had better find a way to run it down their throats!"

She hasn't been back to watch a game since. I also threw out a family member for going "Red Sox fan" on the Pats one time. "awww they suck, stick in a fork in 'em... these team sucks..." (they had just given up a lead...NOT lost the game, which the eventually won if memory serves). Out the door he went.

Bring that negative **** somewhere else! And see you at Thanksgiving.

I am having a super bowl party at my apartment but if anyone acts up I will kick there asses out > and they know I dont **** around! Boots to asses right out the front door-
