If we had lost

Thats a good question, who does get Coach of the Year? Hmm. I think BB has a good shot at it due to going 3-1 without Brady, and winning two games with the QB backup's backup.. i.e 3rd string QB. I don't think Jason Garrett gets it, but he might be in 2nd place. Who's the falcons coach, does he have a chance?

I simply think the redhead need more than one good year and advance in the playoffs to merit CoY.

This year, I think Oakland's coach deserves honorable mention. This comes from someone that probably considers the Raiders the least favorite team.

Found this kind of interesting - if we had lost, 3 out of the 4 teams that had a first round bye would have lost. The only team that had a bye that didn't look rusty was Falcons. And yes, I know I know, we DID win, however if Texans had a real QB, we would have lost. Don't tell me you were confident on a win during the 2-3 quarters.

I'm torn about the bye, I know its nice to have an extra week to get more healthy, but at the same time it seems too often teams get 'rusty' with an extra week off. Its why I believe all our SB's have been so close in score.

Last year, top seeds with a bye went 4-0. They have gone 3-1 the 4 previous seasons. You're arguing that having a bye isn't advantageous, but 2-2 doesn't mean it's a disadvantage either. Only twice in 15 years did the road teams win more games.

But because 2 teams lost by a combined 5 points, it's not an advantage?

This is a good article on the impact of the bye:

The Bye Week Advantage in Divisional Round Playoff Games

As for the impact it has on our close Super Bowls, I have no clue what you mean. All our SB games were close in the BB era, and we have played bye teams 4 times , and non-bye teams twice. It was close for those teams too. So not sure what you're saying.
