If Jake has a good game this week it will be his first since last December. Not to mention his first of 2006 since noticing Jay Cutler was drafted in the first round to replace him. I predicted last season that Plummer's ability to stifle his natural tendancies in the best interest of the team would be shortlived at best and he would revert to form under pressure. He did in the playoffs. That has continued with a 1st rounder breathing down his neck. Guys will do it coaches way until they sense their job is on the line or coach may not have their back. Then survival instinct takes over and they quit thinking about what might be best for the team and do what comes naturally. Some are saying that coming off a poor camp and preseason performance (and an impressive one by Cutler) Jake appears unusually resigned to being a short timer as a starter in Denver.
