seeing how he only has a one year deal. If he continues like this, their could be a huge market for him and we probably couldn't afford him, but do you think there is any chance we take Samuel's money and put it on Moss?
cuz I think Samuel is gone next year.

If we did Franchise him I can't see him being to happy here. but maybe we could trade him? and get something back.

I don't think we should just let him walk.

Sometime around week 8-10, I'm expecting the announcement: Randy Moss has been extended 3-4 years.

no way, that would just piss him off... you sign him to a long term deal man!

Isn't this how we did it for Dillon, he was signed to a 1- to 2-year deal and then extended him after the season was over.

I don't expect this to be a difficult signing. Moss is enjoying a rebirth with Brady and Tom is throwing to a true #1. I don't think either side wants to mess with that and expect that they will find common ground.

No way, there's no need to do that to a player that's already got the money. You treat him well, thank him, get him the ball ( all of which their doing ) and he'll stay just too be part of the Patriots Reign and the potential for more !!

The real question is, what do we do with Donte ?? We need him to play a much more active role to earn the big money he's due next year !!

You thought Samuel didn't like the Franchise tag? You ain't seen nothin yet.

I voted no because I think the Pats should Extend Moss. Probably a 3 year 20M deal. Something like that. Keep Moss HAPPY, and you keep Brady happy, and this offense will be explosive. Franchising players just pisses them off. See Samuel, Asante.

If Moss continues on this pace he will set numerous single season records. Many commentators will be calling him the greatest receiver of all time.

OF COURSE we should franchise him. There is a realistic chance that some team will both pay Moss AND hand over the two #1 draft picks that would be required by a non-exclusive tag.

My question is whether we're willing to offer him franchise-level money without franchising him, which might be necessary to compete with offers from other teams. But I don't think he's be happy being franchised, and I do believe he'd be willing to take a little less to stay here. Again, how much are the Patriots willing to pay him, and how does it fit with the cap?

I bet BB has some kind of agreement with him already made.

I voted no, because it won't come to that. He'll be extended long before that time.

Extend 2-3 years. He loves NE and I hope he stays for the rest of his career.

i doubt moss would consider leaving. he said money is no issue for him, he signed rather cheap when he knew his talent. he wanted to play here and if he continues the desire to win games, then he wont command much which should prevent holdout/big contract.
