This is a poll.

With all the shenanigans and goings-on IF something is up with Tom for today, can the Pats win with Hoyer?

What do you think?

I actually have a sneaking suspicion they could, partly for the strategic upside.

Don't get me wrong, I DO NOT WANT to see Hoyer in there, especially in an important division game. I just wonder what everyone's thoughts are.

Yes, it's still a team game.

I think we could win if we played how the Steelers did with Dennis Dixon. ( I know they lost)

Run the ball ALOT, then play-action pass and let Hoyer make the occasional throws.

Please be on the bench with a clipboard, Hoyer. I'd love to see you in the summer games only for now.

Absolutely. In a weird sort of way it would be a positive because it would force the playcalling to be more balanced and to use ALL the talent found on the offense. Binky Moss wouldn't be happy but it would be a positive for this offense and this team to win a game without Tom Brady.
Hoyer impressed me with his calm demeanor. He'd do just fine.

Now I'm paranoid that something is wrong with TFB...

That's a very sensible perspective and I'd agree. Maybe Brady's in the doghouse... that's a thought that's been on my mind this week.

Here's a tweet from Adam Schefter, as reliable a source as there is...

Speculation swirling about Tom Brady's status. He injured a finger Friday. But team not concerned. He's fine and he's playing.

IF it did happen, do you think Belichick would let Hoyer have freedom in the playcalling? Or would you see running plays on 3rd and longs and screen passes.

It is difficult to assess if this is internet hysteria or real... will wait until about 12:30... things will be clearer then..

Interestingly enough they left Edelman behind, who might have been a 3rd string QB....

I never even heard about the finger thing till now, I think my job got in the way of my Patriots info...

True, but I bet Stanback is a better option at QB than Edelman. He was taking reps at that position on the PS.

No! They will have trouble winning with Brady.

Yeah, the Pats "could" win. But I wouldn't feel too comfortable about it, especially with Vollmer out and the line issues we've had.
