Andre Roberts is a guy that I think a lot of people are overlooking as a good chance to sign here in New England this offseason.
Roberts visited with the Pats before the 2010 draft, and he was picked only 2 spots before the Patriots took Taylor Price. My guess is they'd have taken Roberts if he was available there. From what I remember reading about him back then, he's a solid route runner, great hands, and approaches the game very seriously and diligently, which you know BB likes.
Roberts has been durable over his 4 seasons in the NFL and has proven to be a reliable presence as the slot guy in Arizona. Stats took a dip from 2012 to 2013 with the arrival of Michael Floyd as a true #2 WR there, so he should be relatively cheap.
I think Roberts can offer the same or similar production as Edelman for a lot less $$$. Hope we sign him!
