It's possible that there's more money involved with Brady on another AFCE team. The Dolphins seem like a decent fit but the Jets are out. Brady has publicly stated that he hates the Jets.

There is simply no way there is more money involved with Brady going to a team other than the Patriots. Now a team might offer Brady more money than the Patriots would. But the endorsements that would come along with Brady coming back to New England would dwarf whatever the difference in pay. The videos on the dynamics between him and BIll would be incredible. The retirement tour in 1 or 2 years would be astounding tv. If he goes to the Jets, it would hurt his reputation in New England far more than it would help his NY rep. Especially if he had a ho hum season.

Brady flirted with the Dolphins while under contract with the Pats. This fact is brushed under the rug by the national media and the Brady-ites. It does not change what he accomplished here one bit, but it is 100% is part of his legacy, as assuredly is the oft-repeated fact that Bill Can't Win Without Brady is part of Bill's legacy. Both of these greats are less without each other. Tom Brady stopped being a New England Patriot sometime in 2019, probably during the game in whatever post-game he said he was the most miserable 8-0 QB in the league. He played out the string, threw a pick as his last pass here in New England, and, based on his post game presser that day, was relieved he was done with all that came with being Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots. He's a mercenary free agent now, not any different than any other player the NFL. From my armchair, he's a shadow of the greatest QB to ever play the game. He captured the magic once more, but it was different. He's still fun to watch, and it's always great to see him lead 4th quarter comebacks, but he's not mythical anymore. If he goes to the Dolphins, they deserve each other. It'll be a soulless move and I will have to root against the guy.

He won't go to the Jets, but if he did he'd be dead to me.

I don't want Brady playing in the AFC East unless it's in NE and it's doubtful he'll come here. I enjoy cheering for him to do well in Tampa. Hopefully he resigns there. Maybe SF too. I won't enjoy seeing him play for the Dolphins or Jets.

I think he goes to Tenn. or LV. I think the Dolphins need to figure out what's going on with Tua before they commit to bringing Brady in for a season or two. I could see the Jets making a play for him if they can't land Rodgers.

I don't care who likes Brady or not as a person. It's impossible to not have the utmost respect for Brady's NFL career. Spygate is an issue for Bill's legacy, the impact on Brady is miniscule. Generally I don't think Spygate is viewed as that big a deal by most at this point. Deflategate is viewed as a complete joke by most anyone being honest.

And anytime you finish an argument with "believe me" then I'm going to be extra skeptical.

Wrong, Brady benefitted from spygate as did all the players on the team. There is zero proof that Brady or Bill would have won the super bowls had spygate not happened. The team did it for 7 years straight during which they won 3 super bowls and 5 division titles and reached the AFCCG 4 times. Only and idiot would think it was "miniscule." They obviously gained some helpful information off the operation. Who do you think was the guy receiving all the info on the headset from Charlie Weis after Ernie Adams reviewed the tape? Yup Timmy Brady.
