1st quarter - Pats ranked 7th in the league in points scored in that quarter
2nd quarter - 6th
3rd quarter - 4th
4th quarter- 27th!

Could be a conservative approach to closing out games but obviously if we're behind in a game we'd want to be better than this if we're behind in a game.
Game Management.

If you're up 20, run the clock. There's no need to win by 50.

On a side note, highly impressed with rham and what he provides in totality.

With rham by maye I can at least be confident that maye will not take a brutal sack. That worth it's weight in gold and now rham is playing like a stud level pass catching back and the way he played the blocker and then ran in to break zone and catch the pass the other day was other worldly. Rham averages over 10 yards a catch .

Yes he has fumbling issues , but the sun of parts of what Rham provides is insane value at his contract.

Great blocking
Inside the gap running
Burning clock if need be
Pass catching
Ability to do effective play action
Most importantly keep henderson fresh for the zone runs .

Eventually as line performs a bit better I feel he will do great in short yardage situations .

5. This is Kayshon Boutte [...]while he doesn't seem to impress anyone here, I'm sure he's starting impress the scouts of the teams that are left on our schedule.

Dang, is this true? People are still down on him?

I actually liked him from the start and had high hopes, but I am also the beneficiary of a mind powered by TBI

Downvote? Let's hear an argument for this marginal player.
"Already been discussed"?

How about "Still a problem."

14 carries, 34 yards: discuss.

14 carries, 34 yards. Get real.

Don't look at stats . There is something beyond it .

I understand he is overpaid but no way can we get someone else to do what Rham does without fumbling unless we pay them 10+ million.

You will end up with a rookie or PS RB who necessarily will not be better than Rham. In this case I don't think it's sunk cost and let hope rham continues to improve and perfoma to at least 50% of his salary cap.

He is EASILY replaced for far less than 10 million. He is an inconsistent back who fumbles and, yes, can block. He is also overpaid. He seems like a nice enough fella: so the f what? I am honestly baffled that people decline to look at this player objectively.

I think what all he offers as a package allows our rpo to be even more effective . I am not sure you can find an equivalent back who can do all that for a basement price .

Just a few more points that idlily pass by:

1. Not for nothing but am I the only guy who noticed that the ONLY points we have scored in the 4th quarter over the THREE games has been a safety! That's 2 points, folks. Granted we were comfortably ahead in all those games, but as the schedule starts to toughen up going ahead, we are going to need to be more productive at the end of games.
To be fair, they were seconds away from a TD or at least a FG before the safety. I'm thinking that was kind of a fluke since Henderson didn't fumble once in college.

I was throwing that little statistical oddity in there to needle people. All the Maye/Vrabel/McDaniels hype is starting to get a little obnoxious, even for a die hard like me. I'm a Harrisonite. I LIVE to be the underdog... even when I'm not.
