Is any player from the '21 team still playing for the Pats? Onwenu? Barmore? Any others?

Are any coaches the same? McDaniels after leaving and coming back?

I don't see much similarity or correlation to the '21 team.
You don't think the winning streak was similar to 2021? You're not interested to see how they come out the bye?.. ok..

Jennings didn’t play much either year, but he’s another one. Stevenson was here in 2021. And Hunter Henry. I think that’s it, just the 5 left now that Dugger has been traded.

They are a rocket ship this year. Strap on and enjoy the ride.
Can I go on this ride...

Thing of note... it's going to be interesting how the team plays post bye week... remember the last time we had a run like this in '21.. we faded post bye week.

Although we have such a great coaching staff that Vrabel's not allowing for complacency to set in.. Will be worth paying attention to. Just wanted to mention that...
Mac faded as teams got film on him, also an older defense started to wear down… Drake hopefully is made of sterner stuff. We have one of the youngest rosters in the NFL… stay healthy.

Agreed..is why although this organization as whole is in a much better direction than it was then.. the last time we've have a winning streak such as this was 21.. so it's just worth mentioning that how we perform coming out a week 14 bye is vital.

What I’m hearing is we want Drake Maye to be more like Brady. Folks, there was only one TB12 - very few can play QB the way he did. He made it look easy - but what he was doing was hard. He was as comfortable in 3rd and 7 as in 3rd and inches. Yes, sometimes you take what the D gives you. Sometimes you impose your will. I think this offense will feature more chunk plays than in the past. We need to minimize the risk of those plays. It’s a process.
Nobody wants him to be Brady. We just want him to make good decisions.

Agreed.. for the most part he does... it's the playmaker mentality he has in him that at times can backfire..

Looks like we are going to keep waiting... starting to become frustrating now.. K. Williams has talent and he's basically outside of boutee the teams deep threat outside the numbers. He can give this offense a jolt on the outside..
I went online to check some scouting reports on Kyle and here's what I found. On the plus side, he has explosive speed and quickness. He can release off the LOS with ease and get open. On the negative side, he doesn't run disciplined routes and only has so-so hands so you will get occasional drops. That was the consensus on what I read.

There were 4 other WR's picked after him in the 3rd. Tessla by Detroit, Bryant by Denver, Williams by GB. Tessla, taken right after Kyle is the only one who has had some immediate success to my knowledge.

But despite his flaws, we pretty much got what we wanted. We got a guy with elite speed and quickness on an offense that lacked those traits and I'm SURE we knew about flaws and thought we could develop him into the receiver we needed.

So, NONE of the issues we have seen with Williams should be a surprised to ANYONE. But now we will get the chance to see just how good a job the WR coach has done with him. This isn't an easy offense for a rookie WR and MUCH more demanding than what he had in college.

I'm sure over the next couple of weeks, while Boutte heals, he will make some plays and make some mistakes, but he will be better for the experience

I am not sure it is a given Boutte misses Sundays game
Pats with a Sunday/Thursday game schedule upcoming.
may be the smart move to sit him 2 games and get him back to 100%

Thank you PFK. That provides some great information. Always grateful for the context you provide to the forum.

As simply a fan, and observer.. it seems as if he and Drake aren't on the same page. For example the Throw Sunday where had Williams been able to connect with Drake he was wide open and had plenty of space to operate.

I mentioned before maybe Josh and Downing give him some end arounds, some slants.. to integrate him and allow him to use his speed.

It's week 10 and as BB always said and Vrabel recently rookies aren't rookies anymore at this point in the season..

Hopefully he can catch on and provide some big play abilities for the offense.

After 9 games, perhaps it is time to redshirt Williams and have active WR's who have a better chance of contributing.

Chism is active and returns kicks

You could be right. Although Vrabel spoke today saying that he's going to have an opportunity going forward with Boutte's injury...

Yes, we have someone labeled "WR" who contributes by returning kicks, a good thing.

We also have Schooler, labeled a "S" who is a ST leader (ditto for Pettus).

If and when the Patriots are eliminated in the playoffs, I will be perfectly fine if KC makes the Super Bowl. All those years with Tom have made me appreciate greatness.

That said, I was rooting for Buffalo because I want to see KC out of the PLAYOFFS entirely. If they drop a few more games, Jacksonville could sneak into the last wild card. Imagine facing Jax and the Chargers instead of KC and Baltimore.

I don't hate the Chef's, but I want them out of the playoffs as soon as possible every season. I don't want Mahomes to even be in the conversation with Brady because the anti Brady bias is so massive that people will give Mahomes the benefit of the doubt if he gets to 5.
