I think what's missing in all this discussion of the NFC West, is that the Rams' defense is historically awful. I think they gave up the most yards and points last year, and I don't really see much done to correct it.

Sure, they have great offensive weapons, but every bad game by Bulger is a L.

Ha ha, that's funny - it was the 49ers who allowed the most points last year. Good point though The 49ers also allowed more yards than St. Louis.

Regarding improvements, Carriker has looked excellent and new acquisition James Hall is a big time DL when healthy (which he's supposed to be). Put them with Leonard Little and their DL should be much improved.
