If Elway called and offered you #31 and a couple of other picks in this draft or a future draft would you make the trade?

If you followed the past 2 drafts, you would have a hard time arguing against the belief that Garoppolo would have been the #3 QB prospect in 2015 and the #3 QB prospect in this year’s draft. Garoppolo was the #32 ranked prospect in 2014, that was a loaded draft class. I have seen debates where people diminished Garoppolo value based on the performance of other Patriots backups, but that is absolutely meaningless to when evaluating him.

Pretend we could sign Hoyer to a team friendly deal as the backup QB.

For Thomas or Sanders sure
Otherwise no way.

Since Garoppolo has not really played you would have to take New England as the best authority. So it would say everything if the Patriots could consider giving him to the team that's their biggest threat. It's one thing to think he's not worth 70+ million on the free agent market, but to hand him over for draft picks to Denver means you don't think much of Jimmy Garoppolo.

So if that's what they think........ sure.

@Wheelman I am having a hard time seeing how you can dislike a hypothetical question? Personally I reserve the dislike button for people making comments that are offensive or impolite. It seems pretty ridiculous to dislike something that is not the least bit offensive to you.

Personally I think you make yourself look really closed minded with that type of response.

Do you even want to give them the chance at it though? Mark Sanchez is their starter right now, why ruin such a beautiful thing?
It depends on what we received in return. If we got a haul like the Browns or Titans I would have a hard time saying no to keep a player we are going to lose in 2 years anyway. I mean we sent our best pass rusher to the cardinals a team we face week 1 and a legitimate SB contender that we could face.

Maybe for their entire drafts over the next 2 years. Actually make that 3 years.

I know I wouldn't consider what team he was going to, and I don't think Belichick does either. So would I trade a backup with 2 years left on his contract for a 1st rounder? Absolutely.

Not that Denver would ever make such an offer...

I voted yes simply because I believe everyone on the roster is "tradable". Someone wants to say I will trade our next 3 drafts for Tom Brady I would say love ya Tommy thanks for everything see ya! The team he is going to does not really matter to me,as I believe getting stronger is more important then making others weaker, so the fact that it's the Broncos is moot but the reason I would say no to this trade is 31 is not enough. 31 and a.second next year? I'd think about it but it doesn't matter cuz nobody is giving up that much for an unproven backup who shows promise

You could pick a QB with every pick from all 3 drafts and still not hit on a talent like Tom Brady...

Generally I am not at all interesting in giving the Broncos any help but particularly this year i think it be a bad trade.

That #31 overall is not going to be that good. In a stronger draft class i would consider it more but certainly not this year. The difference between 31 and 60 is not much this year.

Probably true but every other position on the team is gonna be strong with loaded young talent. That is worth more long term then 3 years of Brady. Don't get me wrong I have some serious man love for my quarterback but no player in the NFL is worth 3 full drafts so anybody who offered that I would jump all over it.

Why not entertain the offer? A first rounder for a guy that has only played a few snaps of mop-up duty trash time? Unless Belichick's already convinced that Jimmy is franchise QB material - If that offer was on the table, it be done in a heartbeat.
