How much better will this D be with Ty Warren and Leigh Bodden ?

I think with those two key additions and more draft picks and the development of the young guys with a year under there belt this team can go back to having a top 10 D.:rocker:

It could go both ways.

Leigh could come back 100% and we would finally have a great duo of CBs.

Ty could come back 100% and instantly help the line.

OR

They won't come back 100%, they both turn 30, and their careers start going downhill.

I hope its the first one.

Well, figure all the guys that are out and hopefully returning. Warren will make a huge impact. We got lucky w/ Brace, Pryor, Deaderick, Love, Warren II etc. coming in to help-but Warren (former #1 pick) will make a HUGE difference next season if he's healthy. Plus, we have other Dlineman to consider.

Bodden was a huge loss this year. That's like the Jets losing Revis or Cromartie-(though they lost Jenkins and Leonard).

Like the post above.....two shut down CB's....healthy would be amazing.

We suffer injuries just like all the other teams and it makes a big difference on how the season goes. Esp. Leigh Bodden and Ty Warren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is contingent on those two coming back strong. Regardless, I would use the some of the plethora of draft picks to add depth to the defensive line early (perhaps our top priority) and maybe a mid rounder or two on defensive back(s). Butler has not progressed as we have hoped and Arrington is a scrapper who played above his head this season.

How do we know it's not a case of someone falling way too far in the draft (à la LeGarrette Blount or Marques Colston), versus someone playing "out of his mind"?

[Personally, I think Arrington is somewhere in the middle—certainly better than his draft status indicates, but not likely a Pro Bowler, either.]

You could be right and I could be wrong. I really hope that he continues to improve and becomes a solid number 2/slot corner for the Patriots next season and beyond.

And in defense of his performance yesterday, he had tight coverage on the Holmes TD catch. It was just a great pass and an even better catch and toe tap.
