The NFC is very weak this year but I think the Panthers are very good, most likely they will go undefeated. The only though game they have is at the Giants, otherwise, they have no one left to play.

I wouldn't be surprised if they lost a game no one expected them to. Going 16-0 is hard which is why it's only been done one time.

The bandwagon here in Charlotte is full. So many people who showed no interest in football previously are now all about the panthers.

Spy Newton with Collins and make him stay in the pocket. Let butler run with the speedy ginn and double Olsen. Make them throw to funchess who is a rookie and looks like a rookie.

Norman is a stud but he hasn't covered a WR like Edelman yet, mostly just outside big receivers. See if his quickness is on par with Edelman.

It would definitely be a chess match and I think whoever wins the turnover battle wins this game.

Schedule aside, last year's Seattle defense was a few notches above Carolina's this year. Aside from Kuechly, I don't think the average fan can name even one player on that defense.

I don't disagree with you. I'm just saying that the 2 teams are comparable in a lot of ways with the read option/rushing QB, no name receivers, and tough defense. Throw in the fairly weak schedule and there's a lot that mimics the 2014 Seahawks.

Kind of odd seeing the animosity a lot of CAR fans seem to have toward our team. It's not just that board it's something I noticed on twitter and other places too. What's up with that?

There's absolutely no rivalry to speak of between the teams, we're not in the same conference, we don't play them more than once every 4 years in the regular season, and there's not much history to speak of other than one Super Bowl 12 years ago. I don't hate that team at all, actually I don't really think of the Panthers that much except when they're on our schedule, I don't go out of my way to watch Panthers games on TV unless it's the only game on, and I'm sure I'm not the only Pats fan who thinks that. I know Cam made a goofy joke about deflated footballs but I don't think there's any hate coming from their team toward ours either.

Very strange that a lot of that fanbase seems to hate our team almost as much as our real rivals....

Because we cheated when we won the SB against them. Same excuse Eagles and Rams use. I respect the Seahawks because they didn't whine after. I don't remember us whining after we lost to Giants twice.

I like watching their D, but their O is so boring. I really don't fear them when one of their weapons is Ginn Jr. Hasn't anyone figured out he can't play receiver yet. LOL

Nah, I like Carolina and think they would be tough, but they're also young and I don't know how they would handle a tough game against our battle tested group. We have a mentally tough group of guys in Foxboro.
