How about Dane Fletcher?

With him being a Montana boy, I just had to get reactions from you guys on his play out there. I didn't see him early when the D was bending a little more, but for some reason (was there an injury?) he was out there a lot near the end of the game when the D was playing its best. Great job to Dane for fighting for a roster spot and getting some well-deserved playing time... and looking pretty decent out there too!

It means a lot that he's trusted to be out there with the game on the line. I'm really encouraged by the play of the first and second year guys. Even Crable was pressuring the QB.

Thought he did a great job when he came in. Its good to get reps when the D is in the ascendency. He didn't let himself down. At all.

I was very surprised to see both Fletcher Crable on several key plays late in the 4th and OT. While Fletcher didn't make any noticeable plays, the fact that he saw the field in such a key situation, coupled with the D's overall success late, is very promising.

They were playing a lot of 3-3-5 at the end, perhaps because of the Page injury and they only had 2 safeties. Mayo, Guyton and Fletcher were the LBs and I was impressed by how Fletcher was covering the checkdowns that Flacco kept throwing. Perhaps he'll be getting more PT as a coverage backer, as the year goes on.

If you DVR'd the game go back and watch it. Fletcher was one on one with Ray Rice and brought him down with a great tackle.

Yesterday was such a change from the last couple years. The Patriots D looked great at the end of the game, where as Baltimore looked exhausted.

I'm pretty certain he made an open field tackle on 3rd down in OT after a Rice dump off.

Seemed that when they were only rushing 3, he was in, meaning he has BBs trust as a coverage man, especially on Rice, who isn't exactly a bad player!

Hmmmm... You live in Missoula so I'll assume you are a Univeristy of Montana Grizzlies supporter. If so and you gave props to a Montana State University Bobcats player, well, I think Satan just put on a parka! LOL!

I believe Reiss has Fletcher coming in for the switch over to 3-3-5 Nickel in the second quarter after the 4-2-5 package was unable to stop Baltimore on 3rd downs.

Unless you count TBC, it's zero guys who arrived as costly FAs.

I don't know if Fletcher, because of his size, will ever be a significant contributor at 3-4 OLB;
he might be better-suited as an ILB who can provide pressure on inside blitzes.

Crable - Guyton - Fletcher - Ninko

Not exactly my ideal unit, but at least they have some speed & hustle in them.

BTW, because size does matter - just ask Mrs. Stone - is Fletcher closer to 6'2-244, or to 6'1-237?

Wait a second, great play from Cunningham, Fletcher, McGourty, Hernandez, Gronk, Chung, Mayo, Spikes, Mesko and many other first, second, or third year players? That's impossible. Borges says BB is nothing more than a gym teacher.

6'1, 245 at his Pro Day... and I'd guess he's continued to bulk up a tad. 4.61 speed too.

Cunningham and Fletcher both impressed me Sunday.

While I think Fletcher's usage was scheme based, I expect Cunningham's role to grow until he hits the rookie wall later this year.
