Could someone please tell me how far the below hotel is from Gillette Stadium? Googlemaps says that it is only two miles away. Is this walkable?

I'd say about a mile. The stadium is also on Providence Highway.

OK, thanks. I am tempted just to walk to the stadium since I will be going to someone else's tailgate anyway. I just wasn't sure if the distance was deceptively long or there were any obstacles in the way.

Sorry to sound like a newbie, but I live 9 hours away and Sunday will be my first live Pats game.

I'd say 2 miles is about right...you could always thumb as the street will be jam packed with people going to the game.
