Bourne is listed as starting five games that year and averaged barely over 4 targets a game.

Is that the best example of being a #2 in Bourne's six years in the league?

Meyers had 866 yards and 2 TDs from 83 catches on 126 targets for a 65.9% catch rate, as Pats’ #1 receiver.
Bourne had 800 yards and 5 TDs from 55 catches on 70 targets for a 78.6% catch rate, as Pats’ #2 receiver.

Who cares how often per game he was targeted? What matters is productivity. Bourne obviously used his targets much better than the #1, Meyers.

is that the best example of your posts? Back to the second team, no more starts for you…

Yes, it and was the productivity of a career #3 receiver having the best year of his career.

Bourne didn't receive #2 pay when he was signed just before that season, and won't receive #2 salary when he is FA after this season. The Niners were happy to see him leave for #3/4 contract, while Nelson Agholor was paid the money for the #2 role here. Bourne's contracts, future and present, are consistent with what he's been. Nobody in the league has seen what you do.

That season Bourne finished with the second best WR stats on a team where the other options failed. But that doesn't make didn't him a "legit #2" any year.

Why the personal attack? Maybe no more starts for me, but definitely Bourne's days were done as a starter before they ever began.
