Home grown man James Develin back in the fold on 2 year deal

More than I'd thought it be to be honest but okay. Still spending what amounts to about .8% of your cap on 1 of the 46 players you dress for every game. I guess you can't complain much when looking at it in that context.

Myself personally I was picturing more like 1.1 or 1.2 per year.

Especially since he led all FBs in snaps after the bye in Week 9.

Remember in 2015 when the Pats played Shaq Mason at FB in some short yardage situations? That's why James Develin is so important.

His yards per carry was actually down. But we ran the ball a lot more this year probably because he (develin) was healthy. He almost doubled his carries

He HAS good hands. I'd like to see him get more looks in the passing game as a check down. A couple of years ago they felt good enought about his hands that they were throwing him wheel routes down the side lines.

You can never go wrong having a veteran fullback on your team. Having a good one, with that veteran's instinct, is a force multiplier to any offense. Having more options is always a good thing,especially when you're a team that thrives on situational football.

I think one of the most underrated aspects of the 2016 SB Champion Patriots is the fact they were an incredibly PHYSICAL team on BOTH sides of the ball.

Hands down the most physical team in the league. James Develin played a large part of that on offense. He added even more toughness to an already very tough unit. All year,game in ,game out,the Pats PUNISHED teams on defense and offense. He blocks like an ol.
