Any possibility of trading one of #1's to Dolphins for Jason Taylor and/or Zach Thomas (with another lower pick thrown)?

No way they would trade a #1 for Taylor. The Pats don't miss in the first round and I don't think BB would give up a #1 for a guy that will give us 2 or 3 good years at best. A third rounder for him would be good or even a 2nd rounder which is basically a 3rd round pick.

I honestly wouldn't do either. We pick very well in the first round, in general, so I'd hate to give one of those picks up for either of those guys as they are quite long in the tooth. Why rent a pro-bowler for two or three years when you can draft a probowl caliber player that'll be around for five?

Wilfork
Watson
Warren
Maroney
Seymour
Graham
Mankins

None of these guys save for Seymour have ever made a pro-bowl, but they are all vital parts of our team that were drafted in round 1. Taylor is a special player, but I'm not sure he has enough years left to be worth trading away a #1 when our #1s result in such quality players.

Isn't Taylor talking about retiring? H*ll, wait till he announces and then talk him into joining the Patriots ala Seau.

The Dolphins would retain the rights to Taylor. He is still under contract. Seau was a FA when he retired.

Miami would be insane to trade the defensive MVP (Taylor) to a division rival for a draft pick and the Pats would be crazy to trade a 1st rounder for an undersized, over the hill LB (Thomas).

Nice to speculate but no chance.
