When I think of Hernandez and "ball security" I think dropped passes more than fumbles
But I think this coming season we'll see Belichick improve WR, especially the deep game, and that might open up the field a bit more for Hernandez - who in an odd way WAS our deep threat WR last season.
If that happens Hernandez may be less of a focus in the offense, and while his overall numbers may drop, he'll be in a great position to make some of the big plays that were that much tougher with defenders draped on him last season.
