The sky is falling it’s time for a panic move! Do it!

Nah.

Should have traded him for a boatload of picks and players. Now stuck with tired old retreads on defense. Defense couldn't defend against a girl scout troup! Sad!
If they go 8-8 brady might retire in disGUST.

This makes no sense. No team would make an in-season trade for a brand new, starting caliber QB. That's something reserved for the off-season. Even if it were a team with a QB injury like the Vikings last year, who desperately needed a starter since they felt they had a Super Bowl caliber team around him, they would likely offer draft picks - not key starters. Future draft picks don't help the Patriots right now.

It would make more sense to suggest the Pats should trade draft picks for some starters, then reload on picks in the off-season via a Garoppolo trade.

Who's "Jason La Canfora" and why should I care what he thinks?

La Canfora used to work for NFLN, but I think he is now at Baltimore's version of NESN. Funny thing is that he now portrays himself as a massive Orioles fan, but there are tweets and articles from a few years ago where he identifies himself as a lifelong Red Sox fan. That has nothing to do with football, but it shows that he's, at best, a bandwagon jumper and, more likely, a fraud. Unfortunately, he has an outlet for his worthless hot takes.

Not saying that they will trade him or that we can even get this much for him because IDK but with Brady still looking like Brady I would take Myles Jack and Yannick Ngakoue from the Jags for him. Both young studs on rookie deals at positions of need that can help our defense for 3-4 years before they need a new contract.

people are idiots. it takes 2 teams to trade. I am sure teams are lining up to help the pats with whatever they need.

It's the crappy teams. Teams like the browns or bears. Who knows

so we just go through the rest of the season with no backup QB?

Given how well the koni Ealy trade worked out, maybe bb should put down the phone and take a deep breath.

No. They have Edelman...oops, no they don't. OK. How about White? Or Belichick's kid...didn't he play Lacrosse or something?

It would be Taylor Heinicke. Or maybe Heineken beer. I can't remember.

Forget about the stupidity of the article. I'm just stunned that the rushing defense has already given up 531 yards on 105 carries (5.1 ypc).

QBs which include the likes of Watson, Newton, Brees and Smith have completed 99/142 passes for 11 touchdowns (70 percent).

These numbers are insane.

The secondary has been so bad but people forget about our d line. It hasn't been able to stopped the run.

I think it's more on the terrible play of the LBs, and the decision to switch Hightower to the edge, where he's clearly been less productive. It isn't like he's making much difference with setting the edge or getting the kind of pressure that we all envisioned, despite having a nice sack. My opinion is that he's a better run stuffer as a LB, coming up to the line to blitz in certain situations. Obviously, Belichick disagrees.

People keep harping about the DL, but I think Guy played just fine, and I also don't think Malcom Brown has been as bad as many claim. They aren't a good group, but I think they can improve for sure.
