Vrabel signed Chaisson, Davis, Diggs, Williams, Spillane, Hollins and Landry. What does "no one wanting to play for the Pats at this point" mean?

Going into the offseason the Patriots were still dealing with Patriots stink, where most free agents didn’t want to come here. Almost all of the free agent left tackles who were any good signed with their own teams before free agency began. However once free agency began Vrabel and Co. did an excellent job of cleaning off the stink and getting good players to sign here. At this point the stink is gone, so that’s not an issue anymore.

Ben Johnson plus Braxton Jones, Joe Thuney, D Dalman, Jonah Jackson and Darnell Wright could be a top 5-10 OL in the league.
I can see a big year 2 for WIlliams

I forgot that Chicago Drafted TE Colston Loveland @ 10 to go along with Cole Kmet. Plus WR Luther Burden III could be a steal: Caleb have weapons wow!

Caleb has an amazing arm and mobility like prime Russel Wilson. Ben Johnson is a top notch offensive coach. They have surrounded him with weapons and improved the OL. Barring injury he will be a top 7 or 8 qb this year.
Yes he is a douche but will outperform Drake this year.
The Bears have a brutal schedule.

The BYE is too early. The only easy wins are Vegas and Cleveland who do have a good defense. The NYG - Dart could be good. The Vikings are rumored to be a top defense this season, but we will see. Detroit, GB, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh - Rogers owns the Bears, Washington - Ben Johnson interviewed for the Wash job and did not want to draft Daniels. HAHA, Dallas. 8 losses at that least.

Hold off on icing down the bubbly.

Its implied that its an opinion but in case sime think I am claiming fact
Please insert “in my opinion”

Of course its not fact
It has to be exhausting to root for a team and spend so much time being negative about them, predicting doom and gloom and almost wishing for failure.

I have no faith in Caleb Williams. That being said I have some doubts about Drake Maye too. There’s a definite chance both disappoint this season.

Possible. CW's coaching last season was atrocious like Drake's was.

Although CW is not having a good camp so far.

You don't like Drake either.......Is there anyone on the Patriots that you do like?

Or at the very least, we're confident that they will be back to respectability by the next offseason. Drafting an LT clearly wasn't their first choice.

I do give them credit for signing who they could - though much of that environment is of Wolf's own creation.

I give them as much credit for not spending all the $ they could this offseason too, as that money will be better spent on some younger free agents in the future.

Even if Campbell has an adequate rookie year, if there's a chance for the Pats to sign an even better long term LT and Campbell gets moved to LG, I'd be all for it if he bcomes the next Logan Mankins or better yet, John Hannah at LG.

I love Drake. I just do not think he will make the big performance leap until year 3 (26-27)
Still believe OL is below average and Maye needs another year in system.

Just wait until Maye and the whole team surprises everyone this year in a good way. Sam is gonna be giddy as a schoolgirl.
Maye can't be a huge SURPEISE by having a good year since so many folks here think that he is top 10 QB now and a future HOFer.

Not sure who said that, haven't been keeping track. My expectations are he will move to the teens as far as QB rankings go. Top ten would be nice, but I'm thinking more in the 12-15 range. I do they think he will have a much better td/int ratio and will make more positive plays with his arm and feet to help us win games, which is obv the ultimate goal.

fair enough
13-19 as a goal for 2025 seems reasonable, and achievable only limited by the OL.

20/6 td to int ratio, better than 3/1. 6 picks in 562 attemps. He got pounded, 68 sacks behind a line that was almost as bad as ours. Sure some of those sacks came from him holding the ball and maybe not seeing his reads quick enough, but he was a rook. I am certainly no Caleb apologist, but man we are quick to write him off after one year. Remember there were several NFL scouts and analysts that likened him to Mahomes, but a better athlete. Again, I don't care if he works out or not, but I am giving him this year behind a better line and with much better offensive coaching before I declare what he is/isn't.
They're trying to do the same with Marvin Harrison, who would have been the Patriots leading receiver last year.

Because, you know, other teams can't draft good players too.
