Re: Haynesworth sentencing & league response (merged)

good..it is finally over...

KILL SANCHEZ!!!!!

Re: Haynesworth - Impartial Jury?

Yes, he pleaded no contest to far less than he most likely did. Oh, excuse me, than was alleged.

We can all be proud.

Do you typically take pride in the actions of players that have no idea who you even are?

Re: Haynesworth sentencing & league response (merged)

Can he rush the passer?

Re: Haynesworth sentencing & league response (merged)

FYI, Mike Reiss updated his article to reflect that Schefter has heard that Haynesworth will receive no disciplinary actions from the league:

New England Patriots' Albert Haynesworth pleads no contest to assault - ESPN Boston

BTW, I am guessing that Belichick and/or Kraft checked with the league before making the trade to get a barometer on whether Haynesworth would get a suspension from this incident before they made the trade.

Awesome. Now hopefully he will get in some practice time this week. Would love to see him play on Sat.

He went through the legal system and justice was served. His NFL indiscretions have lessened his earnings potential and will force him to prove his value as a commodity.

If he fails here, there will be very few other opportunities for him.

Most here are excited at the prospect of AH, the player.....not AH the man.

Everybody is worthy of a chance for redemption.
Would I be willing to forgive him if he were a Jet.....Hell No!
People can be icky and hypocritical.....I hope you just haven't discovered that.

Everybody draws their own lines in the sand regarding morality.
AH hasn't crossed mine yet.

Re: Haynesworth - Impartial Jury?

Isn't anybody going to thank me for saving football in New England?

NO......You broke the cardinal rule by bumping your own post.....You have been traded to jetsinsider to post threads extolling the virtues of Rex Ryan's scratch and sniff jock and foot powder....That is all.....It is what it is

Thanks for your insight re this matter,Boomer...

i bet that is exactly what happened. No way this team makes the trade without consulting the league commisioner and in house counsel.

Personally I think the last thing I would do before I make a trade is consult with the "Jester shadow employee of the month (12th award)"

Re: Haynesworth - Impartial Jury?

Hey, I gave you a Like; will that suffice?

I guess so. Thank you. You'd think with me saving the season, and Albert himself, I'd have gotten more than one like.

Hard to believe he won't get some sort of suspension. Even if Goodell is inclined to let this incident pass as run-of-the-mill, I have to think that there will be enough noise from outside the NFL decrying the sexism of the locker room that there will be enough pressure for him to get a 2 to 4-game suspension. Still, he'll be a bargain for the Pats.

You do know the only reason ben (allegedly) the rapist got suspended was because he was a popular qb on one of the nfls most popular teams.

Albert will be okay if he manages to stay low.

If Braylon Edwards can avoid punishment after receiving a DWI while on probation, why can't Albert? (I mean other than for the obvious reason of not playing for the commish's team)

Re: Haynesworth - Impartial Jury?

Excellent post Boomer.

However, should Albert be convicted even without jail, Jets fan Commissioner Goodell will certainly impose a league suspension on Albert.
First round draft pick....and a suspension

He will be fine. If Braylon got off for drunk driving (not a misdemeanor) then Al will get away w/ his aggravated assault misdemeanor

I dont see how he could get punished by the nfl. There was a lockout and no cba when it happened.

I can't wait for Haynesworth to steamroll an OL man and get to the passer!!! He will BREAK Sanchez He is an example of a HUGE ocean wave as it rolls over and crushes a fortification of hopeless sandbag barriers.

I must break you - YouTube

I suspect Jets fans are unconcerned about Haynesworth being a PAT. I can't say I have seen a thread on that joke of a site "Ganggreen" pertaining to Albert.
I can't wait to see their future reactions when Albert DESTROYS everything in his path!!! Albert and Vince say HI Jets fans:yeeha::yeeha:

Florio has given up on any suspension, although he persists in attempting to equate being accused of raping an underaged, inebriated co ed in a bathroom your private duty police escort escorted her to...with being charged with tucking a VISA card in a waitress' cleavage...

Thank god Florio opted for a career as an internet mediot and didn't aspire to the bench... He underscores the incidence of something a friends dad used to accuse him of regularly as being rampant these days...people being educated beyond their intellect...
