Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib, Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt are among eight players who the NFL and the NFL Players Association agreed could be suspended under the league’s personal conduct policy for incidents during the NFL lockout according to Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports.

Aside from the aforementioned trio, two sources said that Albert Haynesworth, Clark Haggans, Brandon Underwood, Johnny Jollyand Adam “Pacman” Jones are the other players involved in the agreement, as specified in a letter from NFL attorney Jeff Pash to NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith. At least four of those players were unaware the NFLPA agreed to the provision on their behalf.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined to discuss the matter and NFLPA spokesman George Atallah wrote in an e-mail, “I don’t believe any of those players received any discipline, correct?” Atallah did not answer when pressed about whether the NFLPA agreed to the eight.

I thought this way before Fat Albert came to the Pats, but he is and always will be a fat turd. The classic example of turning it on in a contract year.

I knew from the beginning Goodel's penchant for moral judgment might lead to this. This is like a petty tyrant or comical Pigmeat Markham (look it up on youtube, you'll laugh) with his docket of people ready to do time because the judge is in a bad mood.

It's gone beyond hysteria, to the point at which the commish will soon have to suspend half the league so he looks fair to the other half he's already suspended.

Aw heck, I'll link it for you, Here come da judge.

For those looking to be offended by broad stereotypes, please skip this, this was actually very popular humor.

I think this is a non-story. I think the league did this so that if any of the players listed get in trouble again, they can hand them a far harsher punishment.
